    Hey Guys,

I know there have been a few threads on loading an ATV in a short bed, but I was wondering if there are any additional pics out there that show one loaded up? I know I'll have to leave the gate down so I am primarily concerned with the width between the wheel wells? I am hoping to be able to load a 2005 Honda Rancher 350 with factory tires. Thanks for the help!

Made a bunch of stuff black.
I don't have any pics, but my 2002 Honda Rancher 350 fit in my 2008 TRD Off-Road. It was real close fitting. I was nervous for the tailgate.

So the ATV fit between the wheel wells all the way up to the front of the bed? Do you remember if the entire rear tires were sitting on the gate?

i have a 300 fourtrax with 30" tires on it and it fits in the bed just fine.
my 2016 420 rancher does also and it has 27" tires.
the ONLY thing you have to watch is that you WILL shatter your back glass if you have stock tires and arent careful.
the 300 with 30s has no issues because the tires stick out so far.
but the rancher on the other hand, different story.
i had to replace the back glass the first time i loaded it up in my truck. i was waiting for the tires to hit that back of the bed, but instead my front bumper smoked my rear window
best thing i found is to either pull it with my trailor, or to use an old log i had laying around to put between the bed and the front tire.
i also stuff a life jacket between the bumper and my back window.

Which model and trim package are you hauling the quads in CroResident? I lost a rear window in my former 02 Taco and hope I am careful enough to avoid that again. I'm not sure on bed width for the older models.

2012 DCSB, 2008 ds450x, front tires need a little push for them to squeeze right in between the wheel wells, must keep tailgate down as well.

The '85 Toyota pickup had me wondering. 2016 420 specs show 47.4 inch width while the 05 Rancher shows 45" so I should be good on width. Any recommendations on ramp length or type? I'm sure I'll have to go a little longer thanks to the truck's lift.

Nice looking setup, uurx. Can-Am specs show 46" width for your quad, but I am glad to hear it squeezes in.

    Thanks!
as far as ramps. the tri folds are nice easy and seemingly way safer, but the cheap fold over individual ramps get the job done as well. 523423197_o.jpg EM07435_2_500.jpg

your bike will fit no problem, just leave it in reverse once you load it up, it will let the bike roll forward but not backwards. and watch out for that back glass!

IMAG1042.jpg IMAG1042.jpg IMAG1041.jpg Had my Tacoma 1 month today. Finally got back from vacation and had a chance to load up the 2015 Honda Rancher. It does fit and rides smooth with the ATV in the back.

P.S. CroResident, I busted my sons window in his ranger out last fall...not funny at the time but it is now. Place s piece of plywood in between the bed and the glass now just in case.

Just get a small utility trailer it is so much easier. I sold my folding ramps when I got rid of my F150. Never liked putting my Polaris in the bed even with the full size. I tried to load it in my Sporttrac once and that is when I bought a trailer.

I wish I had a photo, but I used to fit a Honda ATC 110 in the back of a 1977 Subaru wagon! It required rotating the handle bar down and deflating the front tire. Who needs a pickup, I thought?

A simple tape measure would solve this quarry.

Maybe this is not the question to ask here as I don't want to hijack the thread, but what is the enjoyment to using an ATV? I guess I just don't get it, but I can't figure out what it is that people like about driving them. I have tried them several times and found them loud and not very useful to enjoying the "great outdoors". I understand the ease of getting somewhere you might have difficulty reaching (used them in Alaska for reaching remote rivers), or for some work related task, but just for recreation purposes I guess I just don't understand.
