Are others getting an idle tip from time-to-time? I notice it sitting in traffic. Dips and acts like it wants to shut down then goes right back up.

Yes...sitting in fast food drive thru, mine regularly dips a couple hundred rpm, then comes back up. I suspect it is the AC compressor kicking on and off.

That makes since. Still seems a bit weird to me dipping that much but if it's normal and does't die on me I'm good. Thanks!

It's the A/C compressor on mine that does that. I noticed it first when it was sitting in the driveway cooling down before we left to go somewhere about 2 weeks ago. My fiance's CRV does the same thing.

Mine does it too... seems more pronounced than the other Toyota's I've had in the past.... not sure if its the 3.5 motor in this truck. My other V6's did not cycle this harsh.

Yes, I noticed mine to 1800 miles, smoothed out after that and.
Like everyone else said, with the A/C on it will dip in park but after a few A/C compressor cycling, it smooths out and purrs like a kitten.

Edit: It never did, has died on me, but if it would I'd have it checked

    Hope that helps
    Cheers
