I got all blems from vin. 8 of them. It took a while to get them as they come in one at a time but it was worth the wait. I couldn't find a blem on any of them and now they are all covered in rock rash.

Yeah I have a blem spare but now they are all so chewed around the faux lock, it doesn't even matter! I just hose em with gloss black about every other run.

Got the bolt from Toyota this morning. Pulled out the skid plate bolt we put in as a "trail fix" and it came out looking like this..
    IMG_8806.jpg
Fuck. Put the new bolt in and screws about 1.5 turns before I have to force it with the wrench. Looked inside to find this:
    IMG_2976.jpg
Not sure how the tapered bolt from the skid plate damaged the threads on the spindle. @jberry813 @Mademan925 @2ndGenJonny @NateMob Do you guys, or anyone else, know if its possible to retap the threads of the spindle?

Its worth a try to run a tap from the opposite side and see if you can fix those threads. If you can get the bolt back in and torque to spec without killing the threads again you will be good.
Talking to Brandon he saw this issue at the dealer alot when people cross threaded those caliper to spindle bolts.

You can retap them if you get the right tap of course. And like he said, make sure you tap from the other side that way you can start on good threads and be straight

Sounds good. I should be able to take the bolt to the hardware store in town and use one of those things you screw the bolt in to see what size/pitch it is and that'll tell me

The key here is after you tap it that you get it to spec without trashing the threads again. If that happens youre going to need a new set of spindles and gussets. Unfortunately, i can only help you with one of those.

PS: Califab usually has gusseted spindles instock. Not sure how much they cost without a core deposit.
