What's going on? I can't turn going faster than 40mph? Is my wheel catching on something or is this a safety feature?

Wheel Bearings, maybe? I did recently get a new set of tires (30,000 on the first set) , but I'm sure I've been having the problem before then too. It's not a problem if I drive normally, but when I try to take a turn quickly it seems to just slow down for me automatically with a horrible grinding noise! Kind of like it's telling me "Hey slow down, stop being an a**hole" :p

Ever find out what the problem was? Mine does it braking into a turn usually on winding roads but sometimes on off ramps. I also lose some of the turning radius and it wants to go straighter. The traction warning sound/light comes on also.

Thats the traction control kicking in and preventing you from turning. Did you lift the truck? The trac needs a calibration to reset it. The system thinks youre going to roll the truck and its trying to prevent you from turning to hard. Its annoying.

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
Any tips on reset? I assume a dealer has to do this with a computer and then reset the baseline to the larger tire size?

Why are you taking a turn at faster than 40 MPH? Kind of fast for a turn isn't it.

:gossip: Another zombie thread my friend. OP hasn't been around in 2.5 years. So it''s ok to bust chops, right?

40 was a bit much on 90* turns even in my little street legal racer. On an asphalt skid pad in summer I could only get about 1g on street legal 200 wear tires. Now mountain roads was another tale. Posted x 2 + a tad, in my lane, no tire squeal.

Suspect the OP was at something a lot less angle that that at those speeds.
