make babies in this thing and then drive them around in this thing and the wind noise isn't an issue in your thing.

I never had this issue until I put on the k02s. Thanks to TW and this thread I knew exactly where the noise was coming from and what the fix was. Bought the plugs at lowes and put them on in the parking lot. Fixed.

So another 3rd Gen problem that was there on the 2nd Gen.... How can this man (Mike "Seatbelt" Sweers) even say nothing on the 2016 is the same as the 2nd Gen aside from a seat belt bracket?

As Smitty said, there is a TSB for the 2nd Gens - my truck had this same issue and drove me nuts. Ever since the TSB fix it has not returned.

I think people are confusing the various different noises/howls available on the 3rd gen....

    - Lower Control Arm howl
    - Rear diff howl
    - Wind noise from the window weather stripping
    - Front-end noise caused by faulty body mount

This thread is specific to the wind noise from the window weather stripping. Please stay on topic to mitigate confusion.

Is the window weatherstripping noise the one that sounds like the vuvuzuela video above? Or is that the lower control arm?

Yeah, the window wind noise is the vuvuzuela sound. The lower control arm noise is a howling sound at certain speeds (around 45mph I think).

The weatherstrip noise is far louder and obvious, and its more in the cab. The LCA noise is much more faint, and comes from under the front of the vehicle.

Great...the vuvuzuela sound is the one I have. How do I fix it?

I haven't seen anybody post a DIY fix. It seems a few people have had the dealer replace the weatherstripping and it solved the problem.

2017 sounds a bit different. More like Kazoo Kid Remix.

    Nothing worthy

Way late to the party but this whole time I've blamed the sound on my prinsu rack. After covering every possible culprit on the rack and it was still there we discovered this was the issue.. Lol, only the passenger side.

So, it's fuckin stupid loud and unacceptable. Any fixes besides dealership?
Don't think I'm so popular around there anymore..

Who says America needs to be made great again. When kids like this are internet sensations and getting remixes, I'd say it's peaked. It's all downhill from here.
