The only sign I saw said No Vehicles, and the implication I got from that was no vehicles allowed up there at all, not just the grass. Also, when did any of the dogs drop trow at the lake? They were too busy running through the water
Good thing I'm not a member of that forum or I'd be one of the big bad internet trolls...

and like everything theres two sides to every story and before anyone HERE thinks we did anything truly wrong here our side. (well my side since i wont speak for others)

Yes we did go on the "meadow". Meadow is a pretty lame term for a soggy grass field. Honestly never knew that it was "illegal" as pretty much every time I have been up there, there has been a vehicle on that same spot.

The two guys campsite at the time was all of two old ass looking lawn chairs and nothing else. So we didnt really know we drove through their site either. It looked like trash that was left there to be honest (in my mind as i drove past at least). Soon as they showed up all they did was get right out of their truck and start yelling at us. No coming up to us, no asking to talk, nope just started yelling at us. Minute or two after we notice them taking pictures of us. That continued for a few minutes and yeah of course some snarky comments were made back (but only between our group that i know of)....what do you expect when some dude is randomly yelling and photographing a group. Soon as he calmed down Joe went and talked to one of them and just explained we honestly didnt know. Had seen plenty of other vehicles do the same in the past and thought it was ok. Those two seemed to be at least ok after that and we promptly left. All this transpired in probably less than 10 minutes.

So just things he claims as happening that arent true
-The two drivers of the other group initially were anything but "cool" coming at us yelling and screaming as we all just looked at them. (even that guy said the group of two was upset)
-Joe initiated communication with those two drivers and explained the situation and our mistake
-There was no "immature communication" by either parties (that i can recall)
-I dont recall any signs. If there are they must have been small (possibly overgrown?) and i do agree with that guy that perhaps better located signs would help in the future. I also just checked nwjeeps and the Forrest service and didnt see anything posted there

Just a bit of other things that bug me
-This guy NEVER came over. The only interaction we had was with the group of two.
-If the dogs did poop in the meadow that truly is our bad and I'd glad apologize to him for that! The dogs were mostly in the lake swimming while as a group we were a bit preoccupied with the group of two so could have happened with out anyone seeing.
-This guy claims he wants to politely correct us, yet never did so up there then in the same post informs the world he plans to "turn us in" to the rangers......talk about conflicting
-I also found it REALLY funny when he said we were all outfitted with "expensive accessories". We had three stock looking 4runners (no bumpers), JDAM's truck which really doesnt look armored, Snar's which looks stock, then me, joe, and McMash's trucks that sort of look the part. So three out of us is hardly "most"

But whatever thats my little rant. I just hate people who "backseat quarterback" after the fact instead of doing anything during and then distort events to make it worse than it was. And it was never mentioned cause after talking to the group of two it all seemed done and dusted and everyone moved on....except a third party apparently.

That must have been the guy we saw with the Discovery(also letting his dog run around off leash) with Elephantitis of the face.

I believe you guys way more than them. I've gone on a few runs with those NW overland guys and, well, I don't have many nice things to say about them.. They are nice people but 98% of the people on there don't know how to drive off road, and all they do is BS around and waste everyones time. @Yetimetchkangmi can vouch for that too

Went up to Gallagher last year with them and we literally stopped 8 times on the way up the trail for stupid reasons.

Im glad i got to go this year up there. Next year that hippy will get the state to close it down like every other trail now. Im sure you guys didnt do anything but literally anything that you do to piss of a hipster or hiopy fag will result in it being closed. Tread carefully guys. They looking for any reason.

The only thing I have to add is that I jumped out of the truck to test the soil and it was rock hard. Not mushy like it is some times of year. There were no doughnuts or burnouts or garbage left behind.

Honestly when it's wet the horses people ride there do actual damage to the grass. And they shit without cleaning it up!

    Are floor mats a mod?
After much thought, I'm going to use rustoleum bed liner. It has held up really well on the front, other than self inflicted damage, and touches up well. It's a royal, pain to do, and will cost almost as much as PC, but PC looks bad when it's touched up, and you know how I like to drag the bottom of my truck across stuff!

I have to head over early because I forgot my skid plate bolts at Dakotas house :frusty: also assuming I get my limit strap welded back on in time.. Should be able to.
Best place to meet up is probably the Thorp fruit stand right off the highway. You can't miss it
