What I don't get is if this is such a huge issue why isn't it plastered all over the internet? Maybe I'm not looking hard enough idk. I'm sure I just jinxed myself since mine is being built next week lol.

Is this a noise or just the steering wheel vibrating? I usually have the sweedish melodic death metal cranked up as loud as my crap non JBL speakers can handle so I doubt I'd notice driveline noise.

I wouldn't stress about it. It will 99.999% likely be fine :)

I just want to keep visibility on this thread and issue. I have a 4x4 OR M/T and I have it. Everybody that does have it, please take 10 minutes of your time to CALL Toyota (800-331-4331) and report that you have the issue.

I have called several times and the representatives even confirm that it is very important to let everyone know to report it to that number. They don't see internet posts and management does not make their decisions to make repairs/engage in recalls based on internet posts, blogs, etc. They take the problem information reported to that number and investigate it IF a large enough number of people call in.

Reporting it to your dealership may not be enough. Please report it to both your dealership/service department when you go in AS WELL AS the number above.

I have a M/T DC sport and my vibration is from 18-2500 rpm in any gear. It sounds like it comes through the dash and it's so very very annoying. Turn the music up and it's not as noticible but I would like it resolved. I can recreate it at any moment that I choose basically.

I have this same type of vibration upon accelerating at the same rpm's. It sucks it does this. Also have the vibration when slowing down starting from 28mph and below. I think it's the driveline angle.

I noticed it more on a long trip just cruising then when accelerating.

Need to compile a list of models for the YES group. i.e. Mine is a TRD 4x4 Off Road, automatic transmission with towing package. I get the vibration at 2100-2300 RPM. I can feel it in the steering wheel and accelerator pedal. I complained about it and they added 3/4 quart of transmission fluid, however still have the vibration.

I test drove 3 different tacoma's before purchasing, not including the one I purchased. One of the test drives was a M/T and the vibes were really bad at certain speeds. I remember thinking man I hope the one I ordered isn't this bad. I ended up canceling my order due to the approx 5-6 mo wait. Bought an auto, it vibes, but only about half as bad as the other one. Also might be worth mentioning that the other two that didnt vibe only had <10 miles on them. My vibes didnt show up until about 100 miles.

I've read that some people have gotten rid of them by changing tires, and one or two cases where replacing their exhaust did it.

Yes, TRD OR 4x4 M/T. Vibes pretty bad in the steering wheel and floorboard at 2100-2300 RPM, shows up again around 3k RPM.

I changed to a Borla exhaust, didn't really help....

Test drove an auto at the dealer recently to see if it was there, yep it was. But the auto trans hardly kept it around that RPM range and it didn't feel as intense.

I think calling it a vibration is confusing some. It's more of a buzz. I first felt mine on a long road trip, around 2100 rpm at about 70 mph it's constant and make my hands go numb. It's very annoying.

I've got the vibrations on my DCSB Off-Road Auto. I'm assuming this is one of those refinement issues we'll just have to live with.

Yes , I have the buzz.
    Annoying
One member says he has eliminated it , by luck , with a Flomaster American Thunder
    Cat Back exhaust.
    Considering it myself
    I have notified the dealer
I will call Toyota Corp next

Mine buzzes/vibes mostly in the steering wheel and gas pedal. It almost makes my hands numb on more than 2 hours of driving.
