Just wanted to throw this out there for everyone. September 24th the Texas Motorized Trail Coalition is throwing a member appreciation day for all members. The wheeling that day is free and I believe they are providing dinner for everyone that night. If your night a member and would like to join then go here, http://www.texasmotorizedtrails.com/
If you join before that weekend then your more than welcome. There are some perks to being a part of TMTC like getting a discount at Barnwell and Escondido Draw.

Also I'm trying to get a trip back to Barnwell together for the weekend of the 22nd in October if anyone would like to come along. Though Hidden Falls is a solid option as well if anyone wanted to change things up.

I'm down for both just give me some dates. Barnwell is about an hour away so I'm not too concerned with that one more so the hidden falls.

Pretty stout skid I just got mine when we went to hot springs from the warren express. Haven't had the chance to put it on yet since I've been chasing a squeak since we got there. It's likes warrens squeaks rubbed off on my truck.

I liked both parks, but hidden falls we would need a guide since the signs and trails suck some major ass. Hot springs I really liked the park and trails can't wait to get another trip out there.

I won't make the September one for sure because of Dove season but may try for the other. My truck is just stock so I may just be watching from the sideline.

You should come on this trip then! Bring the fam. I'll shoot you a text.

I hope you like it, shoot me a PM if you find anything wrong or if there's anything I can improve on.

I'm actually leaning toward Hot Springs, sounds like a fantastic place. I'll put in for the days off if there is a chance for a group to make it up there.

Ive never been but I bet there are some places to bring a stock Taco, you'd be amazed what those things can from the factory :mudding:

My recommendation would be atleast get sliders. But in stock form like Chris said they are very capable. DevIN went through quite a it in a locked 2wd. We all have straps and recovery of we have to use it so I wouldnt worry about it

Check out the below info. New tent from Tepui!

    Official Press release!
Tepui Tents Launches Versatile, Lightweight Baja Series of Rooftop Tents at 2016 Outdoor Retailer Summer Market
SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (August 1, 2016) — Tepui Tents, a leading innovator of rooftop tents and shelters, today announced its latest innovation – the Baja SeriesTM. The new tents in the Baja SeriesTM are the Santa Cruz-based brand’s lightest to-date and allow rooftop tent users to interchange canopies depending on the conditions they face.

“Over the years, we’ve led innovation in the rooftop tent space with our first ‘Ruggedized’ and ‘Sky’ tents, and with this expansion, we’re seeing more mainstream consumers who are looking for reliable, comfortable sleeping set ups for their time in the outdoors,” said Evan Currid, founder of Tepui Tents. “The Baja Series is our latest effort to offer the lightest, most versatile tents available.”

The patent-pending Baja SeriesTM tents utilize a Zipper GimpÔ to attach the canopy to the tent’s base. Three different canopies will be available: a mesh shade canopy for hot humid weather, a lightweight nylon rip-stop canopy for spring time or a heavy duty canopy for harsh winter conditions.

The Baja SeriesTM is the latest in Tepui’s growing list of innovations that have made the brand a category leader in rooftop tents. Tepui has developed the market for rooftop tents initially seen as an overlanding necessity into affordable and comfortable sleeping options for mainstream outdoor consumers. In Spring 2016, Tepui became the first rooftop tent manufacturer to be available at major retailers, including REI, Bass Pro Shops, Backcoutnry.com and Cabela’s.

Tepui Tents will display the new Baja SeriesTM, along with models from its current line, August 3-6 in booth No. 36212 of the main hall at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in Salt Lake City.
