I spent like 30 minutes on their website earlier but couldn't find one that fit the dimensions I needed other than a $100+ gun case.

That seems pretty reasonable for a case that size.

It's been on the truck for at least 2 months, probably more. It hasn't leaked at all, and it holds quite a bit of gear. I drilled holes in the bottom to bolt it to the rack, then siliconed the bolts in with fender washers and nuts.

I keep all my recovery gear in a canvas tool bag for easy handling. Then, that bag resides in a now retired Coleman cooler. Redneck? probably....Does it work? Extremely well!

I was going to do that but replace cooler with Plano trunk but I want to keep the bed as empty as possible.

In the Yeti cooler, next to the OTHER Coleman "food cooler". That's why I can't afford sliders yet....spending too much money on ice....and coolers!

Unless I have then need to have the entire back seat area free of clutter, my recovery gear bag will fit on the floor, behind the front seat. It lives there most of the time. When I have people in the back seat, which is rare for off roading, the bag goes in the old cooler and in the bed. The bag I have holds 0ne 50 ft strap, two 25 ft straps, 3 shackles, a "chain shortener" (handy item), 2 pairs of leather gloves, and a few odd hand tools. It has room for a Warn winch snatch block when I finally get a winch. I keep a 35 ft 3/8" chain in the cubby hole in the bed. I have a hi lift jack and will be mounting that in the bed at some point.

All that plunder will get me out of anything I'm apt to get myself in....as long as someone else is there to drag my ass out!

Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.
What oil do you all run in rear diff?

I put in some 75w-90 full synthetic in March. Seems fine when cool but on hot days after driving a bit, it feels like extra slop in driveline.

I know East Coast Gear suggest 85w-140 for their gears.

Can't find now but I thought there were some posts about some people feeling differences between synth vs dino in dif.
