I really need to get on board air...probably a good idea before the Pismo trip in a couple weeks since we'll likely be going down to around 10 psi for the sand.

Ok, Smittybily roof rack and onboard air and then I'm done with blowing money on mods for awhile (I said that after my lift last week but....so much for that). Oh and I'm picking up a hi-lift jack tomorrow :taco:

I bought a cheap one ($25) from wal-mart right after I got my truck 5 months back, figured I'd only need it 'for emergencies' at the time. I tried using it a couple weeks ago to even out the PSI in my tires after a run and it killed my truck battery after only 10 minutes. It's one of those crappy ones you plug into the cigarette lighter with the engine off, takes about 20 minutes just to put 10 psi in one tire lol. I definitely need an upgrade, but not something too crazy expensive.

Looking at this one on Amazon for $65...

I thought the same thing for about a year when I quit cigarettes. It's so different though.

    Yeah I agree.

With cigars, I only smoke the good stuff. Usually a $20-$30 cigar. So it's more like enjoying a fine whiskey than it is like smoking a grit.

Oh man, I love a good cigar. I've been back on the nicotine patch this week though trying to kick my smoking habit...I let it get real bad this past week since I got dumped and now my lungs/throat/body/mind hate me for it

I quit once before using the patch and figure I'll try and make it stick this time....but a good cigar is definitely a must when the circumstances are right. A year and a half ago I was in Nicaragua and got to hand roll my own cigars from scratch at a little cigar shop in Granada. Best cigar I've ever had.

I initially went with the gum to quit smoking, then I got hooked on that crap 100x worse than I ever was to cigarettes...I stay far, far away from the gum. At my worst, I was chewing 15 pieces of the 4mg ones per day...that's 60mg of nicotine a day which is over twice what you get from a whole pack of cigarettes per day. Something about the gum and chewing it made me feel like I was doing myself a favor by not smoking, but the gum isn't much better than cigarettes when it comes to that instant gratification, in my experience anyway.

I've never tried vaping, mostly because I know myself well enough to know that I'd probably get into it just like I did the gum and end up with a harder habit to kick. I like the patch because I put it on in the morning, forget it's there, and never really have any cravings throughout the day. There's no instant buzz with it nor is there a habit formed from just putting it on once a day, so it's really the best way to quit for me.

Fucking nicotine man, of all the things I've conquered in my *ahem* experimental youth, nicotine is the biggest bitch of them all.

Not to mention the gum is expensive as all hell, I was spending close to $300/month on that stuff...ugh.

How'd we get on this topic, lol?

Hey a good cigar is a good cigar....I wish I had brought back some more of the ones I made in Nicaragua. Dona Elba was the name of the place we went to, from what I recall last year they were getting ready to try and enter the US market with their cigars so keep an eye out for the name!

back on topic...ordered my Smittybilt Roof Cargo Rack and VIAR 00088 on board air compressor, also some Redline MT90 trans oil and gaskets for a DIY trans fluid drain & fill.

If only I had a garage :annoyed: I think I know the security guard at my company well enough to let me get away with working on my truck after-hours in the company parking lot, lol.

I almost bought that one instead, came really close but went with the VIAR only because I recognize the brand. Looks like it's a good compressor though

Question for those of you more mechanically inclined than I currently am...

When replacing your spark plugs is it necessary to get new wires as well? I just got new spark plugs put in about 6k miles ago but I'm upgrading to better ones (Iridium) for the supercharger. I've already got the plugs, but do I need to pick up new wires too? Or will the current wires for the stock copper plugs work since they're only 6k miles old?

Suprised that you dont already have iridium spark plugs. I thought they are part of the supercharger parts kit.

Finishing up my project in downtown so I'm taking vacation from August 27th - September 5th. Gonna be planning a sick wheeling trip somewhere with location TBD. If ya guys want to do something try to get some time off work.

Nope doesn't come with the kit, at the the time I got them replaced I didn't know any better and the dealership just put the normal copper ones in.

I'd like to do the new plugs myself but there are a couple that are blocked by the supercharger so it has to be taken off to do it and I'm not confident in that process. But it makes me nervous even having Toyota do it as I know they have next to no experience working with the TRD supercharger...Bob Smith in La Crescenta told me as much last time I was there, and I don't want Pasadena Toyota getting within 10 feet of my truck for anything other than an oil change.
