    I really prefer a lighter bike. And 600 is plenty for me. Heck, I wouldn't mind finding a 450 supermoto

    Not a bad choice for a first bike, might still be a bit heavy to learn on, but should last you awhile. I never recommend a new, or close to new, bike for a first one as you never know if you will stay with it, and used bikes are so easy to find without facing the new depreciation thing. Been to an MSF course yet?

    Also, know that you can't put that power to the ground, either lose traction, or the nannys throttle it back for you anyway.

    I was talking sport bikes, cases and passengers should be outlawed on those. :rolleyes:

    Sport tourers, adventure bikes and cruisers, different story.
