Actually Ive only had dirtbikes....but I'm looking at a CBR 600

 

I was telling Dennis to. Was going to get the Yamaha bolt for my birthday but my driveshaft blew out so my money is going to that..

 

2 edged sword .. owned a cbr 600 rr and 2 gxsr 600s .. only reason i didn't get anything bigger was cause I figured I would kill myself

I really prefer a lighter bike. And 600 is plenty for me. Heck, I wouldn't mind finding a 450 supermoto

 

Not a bad choice for a first bike, might still be a bit heavy to learn on, but should last you awhile. I never recommend a new, or close to new, bike for a first one as you never know if you will stay with it, and used bikes are so easy to find without facing the new depreciation thing. Been to an MSF course yet?

Also, know that you can't put that power to the ground, either lose traction, or the nannys throttle it back for you anyway.
