Is 41k starting price without any option? Looking at t4r pro and tundra pro. There are no options for pro models.

Spacers or less offset on the wheel? Brings up a question, what is the offset of the ugly pro wheels?

It is less offset. I can't remember where I read it, but I did. A manufacturer most definitely wouldn't install wheel spacers. Spacers in general are not a good idea and I'm sure toyota would never take on that extra liability!

sad part a trd pro auto v6 is what 43xxx before options/packages.

hell my 4runner was 43400 msrp, 1413 options, dph 860 for total of 45673. my price was 42644 for a limited 4runner which is even lower than the starting price of a trd pro Tacoma.

and that price was before the $1000 anniversary discount that came out after I bought mine.

Can anyone comment on how well the black plastic fender guards will hold up over time? Will they discolor and fade? Any OR owners satisfied/dissatisfied with them as they age?

I've had mine since late January 2016. No issues with fade. But being black plastic it will
fade eventually. All non painted plastics will fade. Its more of an environmental factor. High temperatures, and
    UV will fade anything.
Just apply armour all or something like that on a few times a year and one shouldn't have an issue with fade.

Its called a free market. When demand is higher than supply, prices will go accordingly. Sad but true. There are honest dealers out there, one has to find them.

I just read a release msrp starts
    at $ 40,760 manual and $ 42,760 automatic.
    Posted on auto evolution.com
So about three grand more than an off road msrp.
Or about 4500$ in actual buying power.
    500$ off msrp pro
500$ over invoice off road '17

    What do I buy???
    Will both deprecate the same?

I just got off the phone with the tacoma sales manager at the largest dealer in the Chicago area and he told me that there was only one being allocated per region and it was only being allocated where there was a sold order. If I gave them an order it would probably take 8 months to get delivery and that he wouldn't be able to tell me if I was getting one for a month or two. WTF?

Who'd a thunk it would be this hard to buy the most expensive Taco to date =)

You may want to check Rockford IL Toyo (815.397.8995 - Christie) A birdie told me they had a cement Pro inbound on allocation in Aug, this was 2 weeks ago before I secured one closer to home so not confident its still available today. GL

Also, If you're not in any big hurry to purchase a Pro I'm confident they'll be some making there way to dealers without deposits on them but I'm confident these will be dealers adding a $5k premium to the MSRP. Again, rumor has it they're making 3k Pro's for 017, this initial allocation for the US (so the Pro's being built in August) is not enough to fulfill the rumored 3k. Dealers can only see so far into the future with allocation, so until the next set of Pro's is available for dealers to see whats coming down the pipe there guess is as good as anyone's on what time-frame that may be.

Curious if about 3,000 pros are made.
What is the annual production of TRD sports and TRD off roads.
How well the pros will keep its resale value?

That's actually the dealership I've had a deposit in to since february and that's not the story they're telling me. I called for Christie, but she's working at a Ford dealership now. They told me last week to come back on the 4th so maybe that's mine?

I recall reading in 015 1k or 1.5k Pro's were built so due to the demand Toyo must have assumed larger allocation will sell without issue in 017.

As for holding value, its a Taco! SO YES! Ha, right?!? I'm confident even at MSRP if I ever choose to sell I will make out ok. Currently used 016 OR's are selling at auction just shy of MSRP just due to supply and demand. There're a ton of variables in play when it comes to resale: Are you going to heavily mod and off-road it? Will you put ridiculous miles on it? Will you put neon lights underneath it, a fart can and a spoiler (Ha?) ALL these things come into play when we discuss resale. But at the end of the day when you're considering apples to apples, "I FEEL" the TRD Pro will hold it's value in line with the rest of the Taco line up accordingly.

Well that's nutty they were willing to take another depo on the truck, of course I never committed so perhaps that was the clincher. So if you truly have a deposit on a Pro that's delivering in the next coming weeks I guess I'm confused on what your issue is?

My issue is that they've been telling me that they can't get an allocation but that they keep trying. If they really got one they haven't called to tell me yet. I planned on stopping by tomorrow but it'd be nice to know.
