    Picking up suspension goodies from the UPS distribution center tomorrow.....Fox 2.5 extended travel coilovers and LR UCAs up front with Fox 2.0, Dakars, and extended brake lines in the rear. Curious to see how everything performs compared to the stock TRD OR suspension.

    No comparison. It will be a whole new truck. Make sure to leave the swaybar off also.

    @northwesttaco
    Did you have off the shelf valving in dem ext travel Kings?

    If so I think i have the specs somewhere.

    Id say throw them on and cycle them. Dont go bombin whoops but id be curious if they will hold just fine.
    A quick call to the guys at King will also tell you the answer about valving differences between your runner and the 2nd gen Tacoma

    @SconnieHailer posted this a long time ago, maybe even in the old thread. If Brian got them off the shelf, this is how they will be valved.

    That's front coil overs. Would be a mega stiff rear!

    yea i dont understand that. with them being so similar it would of been easy. it wouldnt be out of the ordinary with gm and dodge offering v8s in their mid size trucks at the time.

    I was staring at it for awhile like this is some stiff valving but I just wanted to be accurate with my post.
    Thanks for clearing it up! My memory sucks sometimes.

    Now with that being said and if Brian did indeed have them off the shelf with no other tuning id be so damn curious to see them bolted on and it under its own weight.

    But still, call King cause im far from an expert and more like I know too much for my own good.

    I can say those guys at King are awesome when I was working with them on valving my rears.

    @jberry813 may also have some insight to share with the differences in weight and the valving.

    Yes
    " only a 200 lb difference " LOL....you're going to need at least 650's probably 700's. I honestly would not even install them until you get the right springs or you are going to have to pre load them to death and they will ride like shit that way buddy.

    my icons were 13" 650# springs and did just fine. 14" 600# should be fairly similar.

    Most on the 4runner forums dont run 700# springs on their coilovers with the v8.
