They fit & feel great on dry land. Booties much better than the LL Bean Kennebecs.
I made the right choice. I love the feature where the suspenders release and the waders drop to the waist...perfect for recycling that morning coffee!

Nice. Can't wait to hear a field report on them.
I really have to say, their stuff is very well thought out....expensive as shit....but incredibly well thought out.
I have a pair of snow pants that I got for a great price that are one of the best pieces of equipment I own for BC sliding.
I am a big fan of their stuff.

Definitely worth it. I don't mind paying for quality gear. The 40% off was a nice bonus.

Field report coming in Sept for those beautifully colored Maine brookies!

@Sig45 You may remember that I got that Patagucci sling pack? Has been great so far, but am finding that I am not really using all the space that it provides.
Found a May Fly pouch for a great price ($19) on eBay. Came with a nice set of Dr. Slick hemostats, leaders, strike indicators, Orvis double zinger) I have found that I can get my essentials (except net) into that pouch, if I need to. Haven't used it yet, will tomorrow probably.

Thinking it will be a great super lightweight set up for those days that I won't need the sling pack.

I do remember. That smaller pack looks like a fantastic option for going "light".

It really is. Can get my leader rig, fly box, a spool of tippet, nippers and clamps all in there. Think I may like it.
Looking for a better option to attach a time piece though. The one I have is pretty heavy. I really like to know the time when I am in the river.

I get it...many times I just bring 1 fly box and a few essentials...all in the front wader pocket. Less is More!

It's all situational....most of the time when I'm wading, I'm not very far from my truck (less than 2 miles), so I can go "light".

For those times I'm adventurous and may not get back to my truck for hours, the sling pack gets pulled into the rotation.

For canoe fishing...well I can take the whole kit & caboodle!

The same shit everyone else has.
I wish I could fish like that. I have an Orvis guide sling, and its full of shit. 5 fly boxes. tippet bar with 2x-7x, first aid kit, headlamps, flashlights, Aquaseal and patches, and a buncha other shit. When I fish, its typically ALL day so Id really hate to get 4 miles into the woods and not have soemthing I need.

Pattagucci's! Nice! Convertible waders are awesome. The Orvis convertible Silversonic I had were great until they leaked. I wish the made G3s in convertibles still when I replaced the Silversonics, I woulda scooped em up in a heartbeat. The normal chest high G3s are great though.

Ive got the simms freestone z and they were great when unzipped all the way as convertible waders. I couldn't pass them up for 50% off.

I've got the slightly smaller Orvis Safe Passage Sling pack (the older model in that digi-camo pattern). My original one that I purchased years age was showing signs of wear and I totally scored when the local Orvis outlet had the only one remaining in all of their inventory, so I was able to replace mine. I don't know if I could go with the newer & bigger Guide version as I'm afraid I'd also fill that sucker up.

There are times when my safe passage is filled up, but I try to not do that very often as it feels like I'm carrying an infant on my back/shoulder. :D

I had one of them before I got the guide size.

The guide one is nice cause I can throw a sammich and a few granola bars in it, along with a raincoat, and basically anything else I could possibly need for the day. The smaller one fit either a sammich or a raincoat but never both

Never fly fished a day in my life but I jumped in the deep end today and bought 8# Orvis Clearwater rod & reel setup and a few flies. Now I'm watching all the YouTube videos I can so I can practice fly casting in my backyard tomorrow.

Considering taking the local Orvis Fly Casting Class next month...
