Dont think so? Least this site says none as of Aug 1st? Thought id read somewhere there was a burn ban but cant find any info on it other than at county/specific state park level
    http://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/okawen/alerts-notices/?cid=fsbdev3_053600

Which is actually surprising. Seems like most years burn bans start early July

There is a burn ban but doesn't apply to federal land

I'm not going to funny rocks this weekend. Threads are messed up in the spindle so I'm going to try to re-tap them. Unfortunately I work today through Friday.

Mike's right. My 4Runner was fully stock when I did Moon Rocks and Funny Rocks, aside from my tires. Factory size was 265|70R16; I had/have 265|75R16. Clearance was my shortcoming on that trip, especially when I let my head get a little too big :) The rocks put me back into check on that steep section.

Yeah, I now have Toytec BOSS coilovers up front with 600lb springs. In the rear I have LC 8-wraps and Tokico Blacks with custom bump stops. I did the whole suspension on a budget and I'm pretty happy with it. I do have some advantages over the newer Tacos. I have a shorter wheel base so I have a smaller turning circle. My coil rear suspension also gives me a lot more rear flex than the leafs.

I'm pretty peeved by this crap, and I wasn't even there. So freaking typical.

I deleted the last two lines from my post and it's now there to stay. I also made an account on his Land Rover forum so I can see the picture he posted. Here's his thread over there titled, "How to be an asshole."

    'Do this:

    1. Drive up to Gallagher Head Lake in the Cascades in a convoy of 8 vehicles (7 Toyotas, 1 Jeep).
    2. Drive right past the sign that says no driving on the meadow.
    3. Drive all over the meadow and park your entire group on the shore of the lake.
    4. Let all your dogs out of the trucks, which then crap right next to the lake, and don't pick it up.
    5. When the guy (another Toyota owner, no less) shows up whose campsite you've just driven through to trample the meadow informs you that you're not supposed to be doing that, take offense, tell him it's a "tradition" and that you've seen other people do it.

Apologies for the fuzzy focus on the shot, but you get the idea.

A couple hours later, another camper at the lake told me one of these Toyotas had snapped an axle. Instant karma?'

Can you cross post the Rover forum post to the NWOL forum post?
It would then show NWOL what type of clientele are on some of these runs...

If you PM me the site and the forum, I'll do it...
I have already had some beefs with some on there...

Just thinking about it. If all the guy mentioned was some rigs did something he didnt approve of then Id take it hes some pissed off treehugger. They had to mention toyotas and built toyota trucks specifically then hes counting other peoples chips. Thats a sign of a jealous hater.....

This guy has some serious issues. Looks more like that kid waving his arms screaming "look at me! Look at me!" Than anything else at this point

Also very turned off by the nwol admin there. Being way more interested in a tacoma he drives by everyday than having anything to do with the post. Least another nwol member called out the thread as what it really is...a bitch session by some guy who didn't bother to talk to anyone.

And inviting us on nwol run....hmm yeah let me think about that, you let a member bash us and then ask us to join you......hard choice.

I also just noted his avatar pic.....which is his suv with a winch line running to his brush bar. So he bashes Toyota's then has a picture of his supposedly superior suv having to be winched and not even using a good point to attach the winch.

Tahuya isn't to far. Otherwise you can head up into the Olympic national park. Vance creek bridge is worth checking out....though it's a sort of semi legal place (it's tech orally private land).

Completely illegal to go on Vance creek bridge now, had a friend get a $150 ticket for going. They patrol that a lot now
