    I think you should be able to take shocks off as well as use the floor jack to push the spring up and assemble them on the truck while simultaneously installing them

    I agree. I think I am going to go with a shop. The guys up the road from me said they would assemble them for $45. I think that's worth it to have it done right and to save me from injury.
