I am right there with you brett. I wouldn't say it is the best winch but it does the job it needs todo.

They look decent, its just the fact that I'm sure the line starting out frayed wont help. And the rope is half the dang cost! How it was bundled up it looks like it was dragged at some point, maybe a different box, since it has the same damage at a few other points along the rope that were at one end of the bundle.

Emailed shittybilt with pics, they said oh yeah thats not good, send the receipt and good address. They seem to be only able to respond once a day, I'll email them right back and wont hear back for 24 or so hours. The last thing they wanted was a picture of the vehicle. Responded immediately... guess I'll wait until mid-day tomorrow. But if this is the service with an out of the box issue, I doubt I will have any luck with a "warranty" down the road.

4wheelparts where it was purchased eluded to it being easily 'warranty'able' through them. Now they are trying to sell an extended warranty to cover it.

Needless to say, I'm ready to take it off and let them have it back. If I didn't have bad luck, I wouldnt have any.

Was going to go with the superwinch Tigershark 9500 instead but last minute got talked into this one due to the wireless. So then it'd be the issue of should I go with another one that might have some stupid issues with my luck, or just suck it up for a month and get a Warn that will have a warranty that they will stand behind. 1/8 tube is stock and can have some "shock" dampaning to it if you were to say. jump it with the pedel pegged.

3/16-1/4 might be best for you and can be ballanced. They wanted to charge me 300$ to retube mine.

To the Yoda Techs: 2016 has a TSB for ECU reflash. Should I wait to get the lift kit on the truck till this reflash is done or doesn't it not matter?
