Do they have to be down? Or just warm? I have a pair of gorddini I think that are wool and something else. They're almost too warm, gotta be subzero to wear them. I can dig them up if needed
    I was just being sarcastic.

Water is not much of a issue, they just need to be Ultralight. Not worried about any leather on the palms either, they will just be used when sitting around and also warming my hands when I'm doing photography

Mainly warm, but also lightweight. My pack with be around ~50lbs so I'm already getting up there in weight and space. I'll look into them and consider those though, thanks!

I'm super happy with it. The powder coat is flawless, blade is shaving sharp, sheath holds it securely but isn't hard to get it out. Seems like it will be worth the $. Has great reviews from tons of people as well

I've eyed some stuff from them in the past based on some good pricing. Never made a purchase though. Used the code, ordered a new bear can. Awesome price, free ship.

    Got order confirmation email.
8 minutes later, got shipping notification.

    Damn.

You should be getting another code sent to you via email since this was your first purchase. I've mail ordered from them and walked into their Austin store and they have always taken care of me.

Military Surplus hot weather bag, has zippered netting enclosure at the top to protect from the real danger in the woods, mosquitoes ;), plus a few velcro pockets , seemed unused just needed a quick cold water wash... a score at 20$ , not light enough for backpacking. going in my truck for summer trips and emergencies. They only had one at this quality but it is my local true value that has a milsurp section so I plan to stop by here and there in the hopes of picking up another in this condition/price

Do y'all use your footprints or are they just a marketing ploy? I'm collecting gear for this coming fall and wonder whether or not I want to go with or without the footprint. I have a Big Agnes Rattlesnake sl2. Would you rather have the footprint or the extra space in your bag/less weight?
