5100 down travel at full lift

    Been researching lifts and was about ready to (back)order a set of 5100s but I have a question. At full the lift setting will the shocks be topped out, as in no "droop"? If so I would imagine a rough ride, like a truck with maxed out torsion bars.

    At the max lift, there is still a couple of inches down travle with the stock UCA's.

    Cool. So maybe it's not too bad. Another question, can a top plate spacer be added to get a full 3 inch lift? Gonna be running 285-60-18's on 18x10's with 5"bs. I know it's gonna be tight.

    I dont think that will work with that offset. Maybe if you get some different UCA's. Im running the same zize, and with a 4.57" BS wheel, I had about 1/8" clearance from the sidewall of the tire to the UCA.

    That's weird. I am running 285-50-20 now on 20x9's with 5.7 bs and have plenty of room. I hope they fit, the new wheels are in the garage still in the box.

    Pulled a wheel today and did some measuring. My current wheels are 20x9 and measured 5.75 backspacing. with 285-50's I could fit my hand between the tire and UCA. My new wheels are 18x10 amd measured 5" backspacing. I clamped a aluminum bar to the inside wheel edge and have about 1 3/8" of clearance to the UCA. My current 285's stick out 5/8" past the wheel. So I should be fine. I will probably need to trim fenders but the UCA should clear.
