There is. I don't think it's going to show up in the parts department until the actual truck is released though

Just peel it off. It's just double-sided taped on there.

I honestly don't understand the pining over a manual from Tacoma owners. I actually read a post from a member on here who traded in his '16 Tacoma manual for an auto after a few months because of how annoying it was to drive. As far as the guys who love it I don't know if it's a macho "I'll only drive a manual" thing or it's guys who maybe haven't owned a manual in a long time and are nostalgic about it and have some kind of mystical idea about it being the way to go with their new truck. I would LOVE a Raptor with a manual transmission but these Tacomas have anemic motors and they aren't fast by any means.
I've also never been a serious rock crawler or anything so maybe for serious offroading a manual is the way to go. However I drive offroad for a living in 3/4 ton Chevys, Fords and Dodges here in Arizona (law enforcement) and I've been down some SHITTY old two-track mining roads way back into the mountains that haven't seen vehicles for years and I never feel like I'd benefit from a manual. I had one friend tell me it's helpful for towing but I won't be doing much if any of that in my Tacoma.

I have pushbutton start in my manual STi and it's awesome. You just push the clutch in and push the start button. You're sure it's not an option on the manual Tacomas? If not that's kinda stupid.

    My opinion is,

The 2017 Tacoma TRD PRO is making me get the 2017 Tundra TRD PRO!

The new Tundra body style never grew on me so I'm not really that interested. The front end of the new 4Runners don't look great to me either. The rest of the truck looks cool tho.

It's a preference. If you don't get it, you won't.

I hate autos. I find one-foot pedal operation more annoying and tiresome, especially in traffic. Having clutch, better engine braking, makes it smoother and more relaxing for me to drive in all conditions. But most U.S. drivers don't agree, due to the preference and/or lack of skill.

I won't get a Tundra until there is an engine redesign. The engine is not efficient whatsoever. It just guzzles fuel. Until Toyota figures out this issue, I will be happy in my Tacoma.

Ive got a 2016 TRD OR and considering trading it in depending on trade in value but I'm wondering how much difference there is between the two and is the upgrade worth it.. What do you think..?

Agreed, the majority of auto enthusiasts of all disciplines seek out manual over auto and the TW community is no different. The good news for auto lovers is there're plenty AT's to go round, the bad news is for the MT's lovers is there're not enough! A-TRAC & clutch start cancel over crawl control FTW.

I want to get one, but ill be waiting till Q2 of 2017 to purchase. Hopefully they will still have them. I've been driving a 2007 FJ TRD Special Edition for a while now and when I see other FJs with white roofs I'm glad we got the rare one.

Top of the line mid-size with all the bells and whistles or a base model full-size. The choice is yours.

40k+ will get you a lot more than a base full size

It's merely personal preference. I can probably get better value by ordering a non-TRD PRO Tacoma and it would even have a 6ft bed. BUT, I would covet the PRO and would want to style my truck like it and the time and money involved in that isn't worth it to me. I want to get the keys from the dealer and simply admire the beauty from day one and not have a constant work in progress. Again, it's merely personal preference.

Agreed. I'm in the Northeast and personally I feel I have far more control driving in the snow and ice with a MT.
The only time it sucks is stop and go traffic, but fortunately I don't run into that too often.
