I live in upstate NY and love all these Bed Racks. I was wondering if anyone knows of a business on the East Coast that makes something like this. I was just thinking about trying to save a little on shipping costs if possible.

We are in WNY. Shipping to you for a bed rack would be about $20.

Excellent! I will be purchasing this soon. Do you have any pics of people mounting kayak mounts on top of this rack? Does the rack accommodate them? My ultimate goal is to get a roof top tent and hit the Adirondacks.

Hauling metal and lumber is hard when you need a 20' flat bed... Luckily a 10' rack does the trick

Amazing work! The incorporation of a tire carrier is very interesting.

Here's mine that I built to haul our kayaks, ladders, and various building materials. Bed rails are 11ga 304 stainless steel, tubing is 1.5" x .120" wall 304 stainless, and the top tracks are 14ga formed stainless. I tried to keep it as close to the cab body lines as I could and made the cross bars to finish level with my yakima cross bar on the cab. I switched paths and went with a contractor style camper shell and now to an A.R.E. MX camper shell that I'm in the process of building a cap rack for along similar lines as a bajarack._DSC0540.jpg _DSC0547.jpg _DSC0549.jpg _DSC0551.jpg _DSC0557.jpg _DSC0561.jpg _DSC0565.jpg _DSC0568.jpg _DSC0575.jpg _DSC0577.jpg _DSC0579.jpg image2.jpg image1.jpg

I really like the look of a bed rack. But the truth is....I don't need one. So if I had one it would be just for poser status 95% of the time. :(

All these rigs look great though.

Just bought a All Pro pack rack (weld kit), Tracy at All Pro worked with me on the price and UPS shipping from Montana to Florida was about $60.

I'm surprised the fab shops don't do something like this. It's the perfect design, really.

Let me know if you want to make another one!

I think a lot of the manufacturers don't design it like this because a lot of people like their tailgates... I miss mine right now because I don't have a fold down table yet. Once I do, I doubt I'll miss it. If you want more info/details check out my build page.

I bought my aluminum rack from a guy on Craigslist for $400. I was gonna pay double that to have a fabricator build one out of steel, which would have been way heavier. Plus this one was pretty much the exact dimensions I wanted. I wanted it to sit lower than the roof line but still be able to see behind me.

    20160805_104543.jpg
I put a lock on that tent because I don't live in the nicest part of town, and I am generally pretty paranoid.
    20160805_104548.jpg
    Got some handy little loops...
    20160805_104555.jpg
Bolts straight to the rail system
    20160805_104601.jpg
The underside. I was pumped that when I bought it the guy gave me these custom brackets for mounting the tent. The ones that came with the Tepui were not the best.
    20160805_104611.jpg
I still need to get some clamps to mount a hi jack and shovel and other shit I might need. I'm thinking quickfist? I haven't looked into it that much yet
