Good idea, as soon as it looks like this will move forward I will ask the manufacturer for a few examples of shipping charges that I can post as examples. Unfortunately I'm sure you are quite accustomed to paying considerably more for everything up there :/ The Hawaii guys get screwed on that too...

Subbed! Interested as well. I'm assuming the shipping to Hawaii would be up there as well. :(

Any detail into this yet? I have a snorkel and if this worked with it I'm sure lots of people would buy it for that reason alone, the one body line is all that is required.

I am letting this thread ride longer to gauge interest ...which is a little low so far to cover the costs appropriately. The R&D, mock up, mold creation etc I detailed previously. If for example there were only 5 people interested the cost per unit to cover the initial production would be too high. I'm meeting with the manufacturer next week to go over both the complete bedsides, fenders and the cut out fender flares and work out the math.

Anyone with a snorkel would need to go with just a flare, there is no way with a flare fender to keep the entire surface area a snorkel sits on the same as an OE fender.

I may be interested once there is some sort of design or rendering. Like many others I'm sure, pretty particular about what goes on the outside of my truck and fitment.

Also have a snorkel, but it's the Safari one for the Hilux so it pretty low profile, may work easier with these fenders compared to the bulkier snorkels out there for our trucks.

I have the new Safari snorkel and am curious to see the renderings. It might be able to be modified to work for what I need.

And the snorkels begin to show! There is a market for glass that works with snorkels, think of all the MT guys that would buy into these!

It just won't work guys, as I explained above when you build a full fender the entire surface of the fender will be different from the OE fender and then the snorkel would not fit at all. You would have to chop the base of snorkel to match the new fender surface and then plastic weld it / seal it back up = not a viable idea. Plus - why go with a full fender when you can get the tire coverage and clearance with just a cut out flare ? With just a flare the cost is less, paint is a heck of a lot less, install is easier etc etc etc

Where might one get these flares? Glass makes for more clearance down at the bottom corner as well. Plus it looks sick! There is only one body line you need to follow. I would be okay with some trimming but like you said, it wouldn't be worth it to cut and weld the plastic of the snorkel

It would not be just one body line, that's what I am trying to convey here - the entire surface shape of the fender would be different from OE - the snorkel base would not fit at all. The flares are the second product we are developing and will be the best solution for most people. A cut out fender flare is a fender flare with a 2-3" larger wheel well opening. You cut the fender opening then install the new flare. A properly designed cut out fender flare will give you 2-3" of tire clearance all the way around the wheel well opening and give you a bit more tire coverage vs a cut OE flare.

Google " cut out fender flare " and you will see that they are available for tons of other trucks but have never been made for a second gen. A few years ago folks contacted Bushwacker about it and they had zero interest in developing them for a second gen.

    Interested in bed sides ...

Neck of the snorkel looks like shit when it meets the pillar .. but it's solid and it functions, you just have to get crafty.
