I talked to toytec today. They DO NOT rebuild any ultimate C/O's

    And?
Did I say they were rebuilt by Toytec?
To be clear, the reason they are not rebuilt is because you don't rebuild a 5100 Strut, you just replace it with a new one. The add clearly states, the rebuilt coil over has a "new" 5100.

Ok so I guess what I am asking is that is it the same strut I would be for my Tacoma but toytec slides their threaded part over the clip and then completes the set up with the spring and top hat? I never understood what I would with those and am interested at the price you are selling but want to know what I am getting into. I can call them directly too if you are unsure. I just never asked but always wondered.

You understand correctly. At the core its a Billstein 5100 strut, then Toytec builds the "coilover" using their parts and (eibach) coil and top hat. The advantage to using a 5100 strut is there is no rebuilding, when the strut is shot, you simply replace the strut with a new 5100 and reassemble the coilover- your back in business. I really don't know what else your confused about??

Its this simple- you can buy the 5100 on its own- you will have ONLY 3 possible settings. Any changes and you have to remove the strut to change settings, then re-install the strut.
    OR
with the Toytec coilover, you can adjust anywhere from 1" to 3" and everything in-between. You can adjust one side higher/ lower for the taco lean too. All while still installed on your truck by just turning the adjustment at the bottom of the coil over.

That's all I got- I hope you understand better.

remember, one is BRAND NEW as in never used as in never adjusted. The other was used and "adjusted" then cleaned, greased and re-assembled with a new 5100 strut.

I've looked at this setup online. The threaded adjustable part is a spring perch that slides onto the 5100. I think it's a cool concept for anyone wanting to fine tune their lift height.

So one is rebuildable and one is not?

no sir. They can both be "re-built" or "re-assembled with a new 5100 Billstein if and when they wear out or leak. So, instead of sending it into Icon or Fox to rebuild, you simply go buy a new 5100 strut and re-assemble the coilover, done.

Cant believe that these are still available. Then again nobody understands what they read anymore or bother to do any research on their own. They need to be spoon fed everything. Learn how to use your smartphone for more than just Pokémon go.
    Nice shocks and GLWS.

Thanks DukesTaco! Couldn't have said it better myself! I have had about 8 members say they want these then they either flake or start to doubt I am legitimate?? :notsure: I have had every low-ball offer under the sun as well.

These are SUPER clean and will make for an excellent better than average lift at a great price. Someone on here will surely be able to see the value and enjoy these. Thanks- :tumbleweed:

Hey! I resemble that remark. :D

I did not make a low-ball offer, I made a perfectly unreasonable offer. Please get your terms straight. ;)

If you bide your time, someone will figure it out.

I know, just kidding. For anyone else, OP and I just couldn't meet on the value to each of us, so we move on. I think these are a great deal. Just personally, I can't justify $560 worth, does not mean they are not worth it.
