don't dry wipe the cluster when you're cleaning off even the simplest specs of dust. use a damp cloth or lens wipe. it'll streak but i noticed in the sunlight that it gets hairlines VERY easily with a clean microfiber cloth. its not noticeable right away, but its scratching it.

It's my biggest gripe about this damned truck to be honest. Poor choice in polymer if you ask me which is an engineering decision. Every time I go to the car wash I say, please be gentle on the dash, and voila new scratches every time. I'll be replacing this in a few years I'm sure.

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ is right.

I hear ya on that. It's my only real gripe about this truck, which is a good thing depending on how you look at it.

Another complaint thread. :yay::woot: can I join the Fiesta? ;)

Be cool if they made them out of gorilla glass! Pretty much every vehicle I've owned scratches like this. Yeah I even used a micro fiber cloth and wet screen wipes....no dice. Mine is already full of swirls.

The pollen in my area is brutal...and I like to drive with the windows open as much as possible. I use my mini shop vac with the soft brush attachment. Works good.
Photo is the pollen that I swept up on the 3 season porch floor a few weeks ago

Yep made this mistake after offroading in the desert with the windows down.

Scratched it up so bad it was no longer see through in some places. I used PlastX on it and thankfully that cleared it up incredibly well. You can still see fine scratches if the sun shines on it the right way, but it is WAY better than before.

What is the face of the radio made of? Glass or plastic?

I think it's some sort of plastic but it's definitely more resilient

Off topic a little, is there any type of screen protector for the radio?

Nothing new. My 1993 gauge cluster also scratched easily. However, with today's plastics, they should be able to come up with something better for around the same price.
