    a bunch of new/used parts....and some skids.
had mine replaced last year about this time. They're frowning really really bad and I'm getting ultra axle wrap.
Scheduled to bring her in tomorrow afternoon for them to figure out what went wrong with both the frame install and the craptastic leafs.

I scheduled my replacement today with Toyota San Diego, they said the parts have been trickling in. I currently have a 3 leaf pack on my DCSB (yes 3 leaf) so the 4 leaf pack should be an improvement I hope.

So I haven't ordered the dakars yet... I'm debating on taking one of the leaves out of the new pack and adding to my old pack (making it a 5 leaf cuz I already have the AAL from the bilstein toytec kit) and reinstalling those. Then putting that money I would have spent on the dakars on new UCA's... decisions decisions....

Got the car back with new springs. Compared to my old tsb 4 leaf, it feels softer/smoother while driving on normal roads with small bumps. Over larger bumps it feels about the same, may be a tad bouncier. Cant tell the height difference visually or when opennig the rear gate. I'd only had the stock springs for 2 mos before the stb was done back in 2009 so i cant compare to stock. If my tsb springs had 6 clips like the new ones, i wouldnt mind keeping them. I hope with these springs, being more flat, will help reduce axel wrap.

Got the call earlier today that my truck is ready will be picking it up tomorrow, had the leaf springs and frame replaced, interested to see the new leaf springs after all these comments, will be upgrading my rear shocks to 5100s, just didn't feel like paying the dealership to put them on.

If you have lift in the front you'll probably need an AAL in the rear. Those 5100 will be compressed quite a bit more than the stock shocks with the crappy recall leafs.

I had wheelers 3 leaf aal added after the recalls were installed and regained my 1.5"

just got my truck back, initial impressions are the springs definitely feel stiffer and my clunking from axle wrap is gone.
    i'm happy for now.

I did the recall on my 2005 double-cab last week. I had the three leaf with an aal before having the recall service performed. When I got the truck back, the rear was noticeably lower than the front. I drove it home and noticed that I was basically riding on the bump stops. Any little bump on the road and I was hitting the bump stops. The front is lifted about an inch and a half, maybe two. I have an A.R.E. shell but the weight should be supported by the new leaf springs. The truck even rides on the bump stops when I make a turn.

I took it back to Toyota earlier this week and the service manager told me that they performed what Toyota required and there was no other remedy. I was told that my old leaf springs were probably gone and I was given toyota's customer service number. I called Toyota and was told to go back to the dealer and have everything inspected to make sure the recall was performed correctly. Sounds like the typical runaround. I'm very disappointed with what Toyota is putting out with these new leaf springs. The things are junk. I find it hard to believe that the leaf springs can't even support the weight of the shell.

Has anyone else with a shell had this issue with the leaf spring recall?

Picked my truck up today, no issues that I can tell with the new springs, just nice to have a whole new skeleton to my truck.

I had the recall done and was dissatisfied with the look and ride with my moto in the back. I had it bottom out twice on some backroad rolling bumps. That was unacceptable to me, so I have a set of sumo springs waiting on me to install. I hope they solve the issue and I can also get a little height back. If not, I'll have to go back to another aal. My original 3 leaf springs were better than these 4 leaf recall springs.

I'm not sure that the sumo Springs will add height but I think they'll keep them from bottoming out. Those sumo Springs cost more than a 3 leaf aal from wheelers
