Super funny huh

 

Yesterday picked up a used Browning edition Leer canopy. Owner thought it was for Tacoma but it's a bit too wide in the front and a little short on length, figured I would use it for now though.
Also put some 4Runner seats up front as mine were all worn out.

Today I went and took it up some logging roads

 

Pretty funny to waste all that money modding then want to sell it, I have to agree

 

You mean it's not a joke? All that money and work and your going to get rid of it, Over a battery warning light?

 

I don't ever remember anyone telling me it was a good investment, facts are there's a good chance I won't sell it as I have nothing else to drive. It'd just be cool if stuff wouldn't be going wrong ever day.

 

When you start changing the very well thought out engineering of a vehicle, shits bound to go wrong, especially on a 17 year old truck. It's part of the game. It does get tiring sometimes but push on through, by the time you're our age you'll be telling us we're dumb.

 

Okay, this is off topic.. however, I have a friend who wants a 1st gen..

do the first gens come with a manual transmission 3.4L and a double cab? because ive only seen manuals in extened cab and automatic tranny in the double cab

My experience has been that alternators don't like water crossings, mud, carwashes, ect. I am not saying water killed it, but it did not help it.

I learned my lessons about wheeling in college. Wheeling is hard on trucks, so I quit doing it. I am not trashing anybody who does choose to wheel, just know, there is a cost besides gas to getting out there.

 

I actually checked KSL to see if you were serious! haha. Stuff is always going to break on older vehicles. Toyota, Ford, Honda, Nissan.....I have had them all break.

 

Exactly, I made the mistake of going through some deep mud a few months back, been paying for it ever since.

 

Hey I was wondering if anyone had a roof rack on there rig? And if so what are the dimensions am I looking for?

 

So my trucks feeling a little floaty on the front end going down the highway and I'm wondering if it could be an alignment thing or just cause I have no sway bar. Cause I've got uca's to install and that should up the caster but does that make the truck feel more planted?
