Well.....I can't catch a break on the bed rack....I just talked with CBI and even though my bedrack was supposed to ship tomorrow, they have told me that they are now a few weeks behind that production schedule. Shit!

My temporary unistrut works fine for the tent but I can not fit my Pelican cooler underneath it and there is not much space for gear. So, as much as I did not want to, I cancelled the Bedrack order and had CBI ship out a set of their overland bars which they had in stock. This way I will have a bit more room in the bed for when the wife and kids tag along on a trip with me. I'm hopeful the bars arrive by Friday so I can install before I head out on an Elk scouting trip. :fingerscrossed:

Well believe it or not the Overland Bars did not ship when they were supposed to. Holy hell!!! So I talked with CBI on Friday and they are overnighting them to me, should be here on Monday. I'll post picks once they are installed.

I helped Relentless out for a while and I hate to say it but when you're ordering fairly custom stuff from places it usually takes a little longer than anticipated for much of this stuff to be produced. Most all the fab shops that produce these products are fairly small operations and can't afford to keep bumpers, sliders, and bedracks on the shelf. But it always sucks when they say it will be done by a certain time and it isn't. That's one reason I try to make as much of my stuff as I can, then it's just me to blame when it's not done on time hahah. Good luck and hope your bars get here on time. I had the bed bars on my old Tacoma for a while before I built my rack. I think I liked their height better than the rack because it kept the RTT a little lower and out of the wind.

Finally got the CBI overland bars installed last night. I love how they look. And to be honest I'm not sure I would have liked how high a full bed rack would have put the tent. These bars seem like a good compromise in bed space and tent height. What do you all think?

The rack looks great! All my armor is CBI so far and I am looking at that rack at some point. Keep us posted on how it works out for you.

Another Nevadan! Nice build. I like the KISS idea. I was looking into a lift for my truck but decided to just keep it stock and go up a size in tires. These trucks are already so capable stock I don't think you get much out of a lift.

If it was next door to Wingers then yes. I work at the consulting company in the other end of the building.

Got the rack installed! It looks great. Sits flush with the RTT which is what I wanted.
