Front 5100's extended length are longer than the OME's.

 

Thank you I appreciate that...But I will be running the ome heavy set up for now because I happened upon a set of 886/90000 assembled...it'll at least help keep my ifs out of the rocks better

 

I'll have to look at them. I just put stock length stainless lines on the front too...

 

I just had my front end up on stands yesterday. At full droop, the OEM brake lines were not even close to being fully extended.

Also, I think @Rebelimo asked the same question in a previous post and was confirmed that extended lines not needed.

 

Anyone got leads on some 17" wheels?

 

On the other hand, when I checked my rear suspension on stands, the rear brake lines were FULLY extended.

Any suggestions for extended brake lines for the rear?

 

Who knows how to weld aluminum? I'd like to reinforce my damn aluminum skids until I can save up the coin for real steel skids

No need for longer than stock front lines unless going LT

 

I'm having that steel RCI skid done today. It's pretty weak where that side lip ends too far from the crossmember.

I'll put up pics of how it's done.

 

I've got a spool gun I could fix them up for you.

 

Why not just make your own like sub zero did? I have to pull mine off and get some angle iron to weld in there

 

Just be warned, with limited tools and equipment it is A LOT of work. I spent close to 40 hours getting them how they are

 

Second time around I could probably cut that in half

Because I have no skills and 40 hours will likely be 80 hours and that's a fucking long ass time.

 

Plus you already have the skids. You just need to repair/reinforce

Can steel angle iron be welded onto aluminum for reinforcement?

If not, what aluminum should I get to reinforce my aluminum skids?
