    None...yet!
Just went Tacoma shopping in the last few days... 3 dealers and they each had 3 in stock and empty spaces for 10-15 more... The one I bought I only got because the guy who was sitting in it before me decided not to buy it and go with a different color. Mine went up on the lot for sale 7/28. I bought it 8/4. This dealer had 7 in transit and 5 were already sold.

There was no haggling on the msrp, obviously, but they gave me very fair trades on my trade ins and it was a decent deal.

I'm not saying they are rare or that you can't get one, but every other Toyota model car/truck was well represented at all three dealers, like 20+ to choose from each model.

So in my recent experience I'd say they are "highly desired." Though it might be the winding down of the 2016's, too.

That was my worry and why I cancelled my deposit, not to mention the almost
5k in mods I've already done that I'd get nothing for. I'd pretty much be spending
more than 15k at least...... for a different paint job. o_O

I heavily considered the 4runner when trading my 2011 for the 2016. I tow regularly and I really liked that the Taco had better towing. If the 4runner had just a tad more towing I would have jumped on it. At the time also, we weren't expecting our first child. Now that we are, that 4runner is looking better every day. If I had known we would be expecting not long after there would have been a 4runner in my driveway versus the taco.

"Expect delivery of the Raptor Late 2016/Early 2017

The 2017 Ford Raptor pricing will start at a base of $49,250 for the Raptor Supercab and $52,505 for the Raptor Supercrew. Additional package prices are listed below:"

I would take a Raptor for another 9 grand in a heartbeat over a Tacoma TRD Pro. Hands down, everyday of the week, no hesitation. Plus I could get them down a couple grand with TrueCar, etc.

I will be absolutely shocked if anyone gets in a new Raptor for less than $60K.

TrueCar. Yeah. You know how many dealerships I went to with that TrueCar BS? 4 or 5. EVERYONE of those dealers said this, " Is TrueCar selling you the Truck?".. Good luck with that. TrueCar might show what someone payed for a car but I'm pretty sure it won't shown you where. The dealerships don't give a crap about TrueCar anymore.

Shoot man, I'd walk right out if dealerships around here(Missouri) told me that. Trust me, TrueCar still works around here. If it doesn't, I go to the other 4 dealerships down the street. Ain't competition grand?

What raptors have you been looking at? Many of them are selling for close to purchase price. They hold their value extremely well.

Go to ford raptor forums. Already some people negotiating a couple hundred over invoice with dealerships out of state.

To whoever mentioned carbon build up, this 2nd gen raptor has a new engine design.

The $9k difference or whatever it is, is a huge bargain when you consider what the raptor is. Even if you upgrade the tacoma's uca's and add extended travel coils, you won't have the frame nor the 400hp/450ft lb torque. The new raptor is also only 400-500lbs heavier.

I wonder how many raptors are going to be "ridden hard and put away wet" with those twin turbo engines.

I personally don't care for a turbo in a daily driver, I don't have time to waste at a dealership. I don't mind the tsb or minor fixes for our Tacoma cause I can schedule those at my leisure, not based on a broken down vehicle. and this applies to all vehicles, not just ford.

I admit, turbo in a truck scares me (well, not turbo in general but the ecoboost concept). My dream is for Ford to make a ludicrous, "yeah we just did that" combo for the F100/Ranger return by stuffing the V8 Coyote engine in it, 4WD, manual 6 speed. I don't know if I'd even be able to make it to the dealership in the same pair of pants.

the taco probably wont be as comfortable as your denali.

raptor has some resale. but other fords no.

twin turbo v6 from ford? I'll pass. Girlfriends cousin has a 2013 ecoboost and had to replace the turbos twice already and had the engine completely changed a few months ago. thing is an utter piece of shit.

If you're buying a full size go with a V8
I remember talking to a project manager on a job I was on who had a raptor, late 30s no accident or tickets living in a good area that doesn't have increased insurance rates, paid more on his raptor than I paid on my 2006 jetta and I was under 25 at the time. Can't see the new ones having any significant drop in insurance.

Wouldn't doubt for a second that OTD a Raptor here in canada would be upwards of $70k if not more.

    seriously.

at the time I had a 50/50 accident on my record, and 3 speeding tickets. I was paying around $4300 a year, and this guy who had no record and was a family man was paying $6200, for just his raptor, not his wifes car as well. I mean hey he's making $130k a year but still. Thats a shit load to be paying on insurance for a truck.

You'd miss the bed of course for loads, the cargo area is 70 inches long and 33 inches tall. It can handle 1400lbs cargo, but not volume. Factory roof rack can handle 200lbs. Good thing about the 4Runner is the tailgate window powers down into the tailgate so you can put lengthy loads into it like ladders, 2x4's. It's short and maneuverable, 37' turning circle, good stock ground clearance.
