Yeah, I guess that covers it

 

They were old. Very old. As in, that one was 12 or 13 years old, and the one we put on (the spare) was so old it didn't have a date stamp on it. I replaced them with Carlisle trailer tires rated for 1500# each. Trailer only weighs about 2100# fully loaded, and I don't carry water or propane, so that's about 200# less.

Guy at the tire place had a whole stack of tires that looked like mine. He said age was the reason in almost all of them.

The worst thing about all of it was I lost one of my vintage hubcaps.

Hi everybody, thanks for the warm welcome! No you all did not run me off, Happy belated Birthday Blue; glad you didn't get hurt in the wreck Newb13 and glad rleete you didn't get hurt with the blowout. I thank it took me 45-60 min to catch up. I think I will start my day with this forum instead of going to 3rd Gen forum first like I always do. I have copd and on oxygen so that slows me down some but I still try to stay busy. I like working on guns, going shooting, camping, drinking, trucks, puppies, and looking at women. I am married but that does not stop me from looking. I ordered clazzio leather seat covers yesterday for the truck went blk-blk-blk I did have them embroider trd on the headrests and change the seat inserts from perforated to solid leather.

 

i'll say you fit just fine! these are some fantastic-and sarcastic-people. You will be hooked! enjoy your day oldman.

Actually in layman's terms. Lots of fun with good people. Never imagined I would meet so many interesting and warm hearted people. I enjoy coming in here every day. If I don't I feel like I'm missing friends..

Hey all, I need some advice especially from Tacoma Mike. I want to level my trk or go up 1" so I bought Blistein 5100's for front and back and a 1" block for the rear. What I need to know is, if I set the fronts on the second notch that should be 1" lift leveling trk, if I set front at third notch 1 1/2 "lift and add block to rear 1/2" rake which I like. Where I'm having problem I keep reading the lift forums and they keep talking about 886,887,888 springs to avoid preload Stock spring rate is 712lbs more then after market. Do I need to buy after market to keep factory aliagnment specs? I'm so confused!

3200 so far is the estimate to fix my truck! just got the email. no details he was just giving me some basics being the weekend. I told him

My steel bumper was less...just saying.

 

I don't do lifts Mike so I don't follow the specs and such. I have to deal with all the winers under warr. Trying to get their modified trucks fixed.
I will say this. Level the truck if you want and alignment adj. should be enough. Any more then your going to run into trouble.
Funny thing is they raised the truck for 2016 like people were doing and now they are equal. Now people are raising it up higher. Angles change. Be ready for something you may not like.
Have not seen a lifted 16 in the shop yet. I'm sure when we do it will have issues.
