This was the first lift I had ever done. I was a little intimidated about doing it myself since my taco is my daily driver, but I did plenty of research on TW, asked plenty of questions, watched videos. I had a friend help which came in handy. We are both aircraft mechanics....so it's all nuts'n bolts to us. It was fun to do it myself. Had the shop been more reasonable with the labor, I might have let them do it. But, I learned a lot doing it myself and was able to give back to TW.

Doesn't seem your question was ever answered and from what I've read there are a few things I want to share which may be beneficial for some on here. The lug pattern is same on the 2nd and 3rd gen 6 luggers, tpms will not transfer without a kit if you are coming from a steel wheel to these, tpms just screw on and off(simple). Trd pro wheels are somewhere around 25 pounds, the FN FXPRO wheels are 8 inches wide(which is wider), the fxpros are lighter as well( i think by a few pounds) and also less expensive, and yes either wheel will fit stock size tires 265/+, wouldn't recommend the 245's on a 8" wide wheel. Bf goodrich has a sale with eBay every year at certain times for $100 off orders of $2-300 dollars or more. Buy 2 sets of 2 tires when this happens. Got all 4 of my tires for $645 Shipped. Hope something in this helped someone. :hattip:

You're right. I put 265/70-17 KO2 on the 17 TRD wheels. Minor rub under major obstacles and when wheels turned significantly. Took the OEM mudflaps off the front. Did a weekend of 4wheeling up around Breckenridge after this, did not encounter any rubbing at all during the trip.

Glad to hear it! You may want to look into RokBlokz if you want mud flaps. I have mine installed, and there is a lot more clearance between the tires compared to the WeatherTechs I used to have!

The fedex dude took his SWEET time coming to my house with the wheels. I was waiting for him outside and when he showed up, I helped him put the wheels straight to my bed and off to the installers I went!

I think the biggest decision of that week for me was when the tire shop asked me, "letters in or out" I seriously could not decide, and just played it safe...

    right on! post pics

Hopefully they are done with it soon, I'm dying to see it. The wheels were in perfect shape - packed great. FedEx Driver even waited to watch me open one. LOL

Yes, but it took a bit of time. No big deal really. @Unchained 5150 really helped.

I called them immediately when I unboxed the damaged wheel, and I had to buy a single wheel from them for $175. I got it in the mail a week later, and I got a prepaid label to send back the defective wheel. Another week or so later (after getting the wheel back) they refunded me $175.

Again, not a big deal, but just took a bit of time.

In my research and experience rubbing is dependent on how the caster is set from the factory.

The tolerance is something like 1 to 3 degrees. Anything closer to 3 and you'll get less chance of rubbing. if the factory set closer to 1, then I believe even 265/70s on stock wheel specs will rub.

Damn, now I have to read up....what the heck a caster is....lol. I know what a coaster is....when I lived with my parents they had them all over the place. Lol

I hear more stories about rubbing with these wheels and 275s than not rubbing. If the tolerances differs that much per wheel, that's some questionable quality control of their manufacturing. I can almost guarantee you you're gonna have rubbing off-road stock suspension. I had mudflap rubbing on 265/70-17 KO2 on bumps in road and off-road. Had to pull them off so they didn't rub. I'm shocked that people are actually finding 275s not rubbing!
