I've got a set of Head strong progressive 3-leaf AAL's and can't find the torque specs for the centering pin nut or the leaf spring clamp nuts. I checked the 2016 Tacoma factory suspension spec sheet and I know the spring clamps won't be on there because they are fixed, but I was surprised the centering pin nut isn't on the there. Any thoughts?

If snug is the acceptable answer then I can go along with that..

There wasn't a nut on centerpin under bump stop ?:confused:

& tighten that nut to about 50 ft.lbs (no more than that, they strip easy)

There is a nut there, but when I replace it with the new centering pin and new nut, I need to know what to torque it to. 50lbs sounds like a good answer to me. Same thing for the leaf spring clamp nuts as well?

*btw above I stated that the centering pin nut torque specs are not on the 2016 Tacoma suspension spec sheet. I was surprised by that because it has everything else you'd ever want to know about the suspension components.

    Thanks for the answer!

Well by "leaf spring clamp nuts" I assume you're speaking about the U bolts & torque value on those nuts, this is where you're thread will go batshit with debate on U bolt torque, the factory manual for 2nd gens stated for years that 37 ft.lbs. was required with a slight adjustment made to spec sheet increasing the torque to 40 or 50ft.lbs.

This is where I part company with Toyota engineers & half the people on this site , up until 2004 (1st gens) the torque was right around 90-95 ft.lbs (which seems perfectly reasonable ) I've lifted a lot of Tacomas (& others, i.e; Fords/Chevies/Dodge) & almost all the Tacomas were ridiculously loose, so take what you will from this info & tighten to what you think is right....

Interesting.. The spec sheet says 52 ft-lbs for the u-bolt nuts, but I'll take that with a grain of salt and over torque them some. Thanks for that info.
