When they fail, it's usually in the summer when it's really hot. That goes for any car with CPS.

My brother and I both had them fail last summer in Mazdas.

Yet apparently you are still obsessed with the the truck. You don't like the truck and have no intention to buy one yet post frequently on this forum. Why is that?

As other have said have them check the crankshaft position sensor.

Out of the 111000+ 2016's sold. I'm not very good at math @Friggin Fuego why don't you figure out that percentage for me!

Hard to say because there are only a small percentage of 2016 Tacoma owners on these forums compared to the larger market. If you were to extrapolate the number of 2016 Tacoma owners here by this issue alone it could actually be a fairly large number that are affected by this.

I'd say by far the most prolific issue so far has been the rear differential problems

You're setting up the problem wrong. That's 12 failures (at least) on this forum, which is a much smaller pool than the 110,000+ Tacomas sold. Not everyone is on this forum. Say we have 1000 active posters on here... that's a 1.2+% failure rate within the first year or less.

I don't know why guys like these exists here. There's another guy here who constantly posts how the 3rd gens are lowering in value compared to the 2nd, and how they are not selling as much.

Not sure why he cares about that so much or why he thinks owners care/

I don't understand this. Your kid gonna die or something? Lots of kids all over the world are capable of being outside for 10 minutes. Hell, most of them all day. I'm sure your precious little snowflake will be just fine.

Kids are more prone to dehydration without knowing and their bodies can crash pretty fast. Ever see a tow truck respond and get to pick up a downed vehicle in 10 minutes?

Except you have people like OP who only join here to post of a problem. Otherwise she would never have a reason to join the forum. This makes it seem like problems are more common than they are.

Seriously? When we were kids we rode around in a family car with zero AC. In 100+ temps. We did just fine. People are too damn worried about everything now.

Yes seriously. I'm a firefighter/emt and I run calls on heat exposures all the time. Short trips are fine without A/C. But being stuck and stranded miles away, hours waiting in the heat for a tow truck to arrive can pose serious health risks to children and the elderly.
