Thought I'd throw this out there for y'all too....(Since it is in Tennessee and all) ;

I'm working on a Veterans Day weekend trip to Dirt Devil. I have a couple disabled Vets interested, and the trip is catered to them. Dirt Devil sounds mild enough for them to be involved. They do NOT want to attempt driving at a more difficult trail system. I have 5 interested (so far) from the Louisville/Southern Indiana area (3 committed) . There is a small group forming up from South Carolina and Florida who should attend also. The object of this is to keep it easy, make it a tribute to Veterans, and hopefully to make it an annual event. I am working on a "sponsor" of sorts to pay for tee shirts or hats. This will be held on Saturday, November 12th, as a single day event. There will be NO entry fee or associated cost. Meet up point near starting point will be determined soon. You don't have to be a Vet to attend. But we will ask you to show your appreciation to Vets and active duty military. And, as I said, hope is to make this an annual event. It may or may not gain traction and turn into a real event....May just be a small one day trail run....At any rate, we will aim to have some fun!

 

I'll make a tentative plan to go. Depends in wife, kids, & weather.

 

History nerd. If I go, I'll have to stop by Meriwether Lewis Monument. Looks like it is near part of trail maybe.

Back to my commuter car search. Do any of you know anything about VW Jett's? Gas engines.

 

Buddy of mine has one. They're good for about 140k from what we've gathered. And they always smell like fucking crayons, there's no way to get rid of the smell

 

Lol crayons? Why do you say 140k. That seems low by today's standards. I found an 09 with 28k. An old man has it and is selling because he's having trouble getting in and out of it. He's only asking 7,000. I figure it can be bought for 6500 or so.

Yep. I agree. Unless it's an old one then it's a piece. They used to be great motors, for what they are, but like most new computerized vehicles, they suck
