hey all I'm looking at getting a small enclosed trailer for like a mobile garage for my dirt bike and 4 wheeler for the lady. I want it to big enough to get the job done but small and efficient . Not sure if I could get away with a 5x8 or if i would need 5x8 or even 6x10? What are you guys able to fit in your enclosed Trailers ? Pictures help! Thanks

My wife and I have a 5 x 8 the she uses for art shows. She has a v nose and even with that I would go with a 6 x 10. The 5 x 8 is jus going to be a little small.

I just hauled a 7x14 and the taco had no problem. V nose is the answer. 4 gear 60 65 the hold way. Trans temp never got over 175. I was hauling mango trees but I bet it was close to 3000 lbs total. Youre gonna want some head room for unloading the bikes.

Id go for the biggest size trailer you can manage in terms of towing and storing.

You will be surprised how quickly you can outgrow it. I am super happy with my 6x12 v nose. You can never have too much space.....image.jpg

are you trying to work on them in the trailer? the dirt bike would be no issue but the quad will be a pain. At minimum I would do the 6x10 if that's the case.

do you have a single or double axle? when i went to a double it seemed like the drag increased drastically

Double axle. I have towed a 5x8 single open, 8x16 double open, and enclosed 7x14 double. The only difference was wind against the enclosed. 2 axles will cause that feeling because now you have twice at much rubber in the road. At 60 65 in 4th gear and I don't see that much difference in rpms between the big trailers. I think if I had air bags I and could level the truck wouldn't notice any difference at all. I forget the small trailer is even back there.

Thanks for the response guide ! Not necessarily trying to work on them in there just have them all in one location with all of our gear . I understand the concept of the more room the better but I don't wanna haul around extra weight if i don't have to. I'm thinking the 6x10 V nose is what I'll do .

Full OME Kit, 887's and Dakar Pack. Iron Cross Front Bumper. LED's Interior.
Here is mine when I first set it up inside, it has a few more storage options added since these photos.

It's a 7x14 with 6'6" clearance inside. Haven't hooked it up behind the Taco yet, I pulled it with my 2500 Duramax. I'm a little apprehensive to hook it up at the moment. Putting an OME kit on with a Dakar leaf pack in the back this week before I hook it up. I don't plan on keeping the trailer for much long though anyhow.

Definitely go as big as you can.... No doubt....
