Seriously just do this. Move the plug to the left of where the factory puts it. Simple and easy.

Limited wheels, extra rope hooks in bed.
I took my tether off and just set the cap on the bed rail.

If you live on flat land that don't work to well as the wind howls across the prairie. I had a Ford Ranger I would set the gas cap in the bed on windy days.

Saw a guy set his on top of the gas pump one day and the wind blew it across the street..

You can drill a hole vertically on the grab rail and use a self-tapping screw for the tether. There's a thread somewhere on the forum by someone who did that.

    Hope that helps
    Cheers!

Just curious what's wrong with letting it hang there for the few minutes your getting gas? I guess I never knew this was a concern. I thought that is was tethered was pretty cool and that has always been just fine for me. Just my 2 cents

Why would I do that, when I have a gas cap holder?
I don't like having a tether on my cap anyway....
