Anyone done the tack weld mod recently? If so, could you shoot me a time frame for doing so?

Yes, tack welds on the steering column. 2hrs isn't bad at all (although it seems like I generally multiply the time estimated in a write up by 2 for my own sake...). I've seen a write up on TTORA where damn near everything needs to be pulled, and one here on TW where a lot less work is required. Just seeing how long it took others.

It doesn't look like too bad of a job (depending on time). I'm tired of driving down the interstate and looking like I had a sixer and decided to go for a rip.

Go to post #42 in the TTORA thread. Should take less than 1 hour. It's beyond simple, you do not even need to remove the lower panel. 3 bolts 2 screws 2 springs.
Shimming the tilt ball is also worth a few extra minutes if it shows any play.
I wrote "post #42" so feel free to question.

Put new EBC dimpled/slotted rotors and greenstuff pads on, as well as Duralast calipers. But that nice black on the rotors sadly does not last. Still looks nice and shiny now. Also flushed all the old brake fluid out and filled it with new. What a difference. But my heel-toeing is totally fucked right now...0806161051.jpg

Yea, I need to upgrade my brakes. They front are doing the "pulsing" like how they feel just before it's steel on steel

I was having to go about half travel to get decent braking and to the floor for any sort of sudden stopping. My pads had a little life left, but not much. My rotors were definitely due for replacement though.
