I've searched and haven't seen this specifically asked...

Now that infos out on the 17s? What's changing?

They added the power rear window across the trd/limited lines... Anything else? Android auto/Apple car play?

I expect they will shuffle the standard equipment list by adding & subtracting items around.
Other that, they all come full on fluids, just like ’16.
And there are no official documents filed NHTSA that are indicative of low fluid level findings or any issues that have occurred as a result of low lubrication.

    Hope that helps
    Cheers!

I've just been told by my dealer that the 17s are on hold with Toyota and they don't know why?

They were going to get me a 16 but couldn't trade for it and said wait 2 weeks for the 17. Just called and said they are on hold. They did try to get me to buy a 16 sport though which I don't want so maybe they are just saying that?

Was looking at car complaints today for the 2016 tacoma. Came across 17 complaints on NHTSA for the transmisson alone and many of them cite low transmission fluid some say software helped a few others say it didnt. Let's hope this got Toyota attention to continue to improve in these areas.

    http://m.carcomplaints.com/Toyota/Tacoma/2016/drivetrain/power_train.shtml

On top of that you KNOW it's a valid issue when dealership service managers start admitting and openly sharing that low transmission fluid is a problem on these vehicles. As poor as toyota has been when it comes to transparency in communication with consumers on known issues...

You are correct in that they are saying 2017 are delayed. They want you to buy that 2016 on their lot
