Anyone know where I can get the t handle and pin for part of the swing out that locks it in when open?

Can probably find it online somewhere but don't know the size, or if Tyler/Satin can send me one.

They can send you, I did the same for the T-handle on the opening side since mine came with the ball handle, and it sucked to open with.

Stainless shouldn't rust, so it should be fine if mounted bare.

Anyone know a good place to get a Northstar Group 31M battery? Got my new battery cage - need to put a worthy battery in it.

hey all- Quick question about the swing out on my brand new and very bad to the bone Pelfreybilt rear bumper.

I'm a bit confused with how to assemble the hinge on the swing out- the instructions mention a Cotter pin and I dont have one in my bag-O-goodies. Can anyone confirm that everything that I have here is everything I will need for installation? Thanks for any and all help

From my phone it doesn't even look like that's a castle nut, so maybe they took the cotter pin out of the BOM :notsure:

Other then that, you look good. Get some hairspray for that handle bar grip and install that bad boy :D

the older gates used a castle nut and cotter pin but the newer gates come with a heavy duty lock nut like the one shown. You have everything you need to finish the installation!

Who is running a Hi Clearance with Dakars plus a Canopy and RTT? Did you add the Dakar AAL? I am on the fence if I want to take on that much weight on the tail end of the my truck. 200lbs in bumper is kinda insane.

Plenty of guys run that same set up just fine. The AAL definitely helps boost that capacity without sacrificing lift when fully loaded. If you are concerned with the weight then I would go that route. I have expos on my truck that are about 4 years old now, have been fully tested multiple times and I have even more in the back than just a HC rear with canopy, tent and rack and the Dakars seem to hold up even better than that.

Thanks for the reply! I just started to add up weights of the HC with Swing, plus tire, fuel, canopy, tent, gear, etc etc etc hahaha. AAL is in order, or go standard bumper...

The weight definitely adds up. Its hard to balance the amount of protection you want without sacrificing carrying capabilities. There are many different set ups out there as far as how people haul their gear. Lets me know if I can help you figure anything out.

I have the Dakar leafs without the AAL. The truck never moved with the bed bars and rtt. Picking up a shell on Friday but I'm not concerned with it.

Guessing, I need to get my new Canopy and such before I make a purchase to see if the AAL is even needed.

I'm running standard rear plate with a bed rack and RTT, plus a 4 gallon Roadshower on the dakars. I went about 8 months without the AAL, but I wanted to add a little more rake to the stance and have the ability to pack it down a little more. I would get the AAL. I like the stance better and my truck feels better with the extra leaf. Super easy to change out if you have a buddy to help.

most likely it wont be, but its not too much of a pain to add one down the road after the springs settle and receive more wear.
