This is my problem.... Haven't used something for years, but as soon as I get rid of it, I need it :(

Find a ceramic shop to donate her stuff to. Someone can use it. When I cleaned my sisters place out, she had every paystub she ever got. Every single credit card bill and bank statement I do need to have a yard sale to clear out a lot of my and her stuff.

Not sure a ceramic shop would be any help, she painted china. We reached the group she belonged to, they said stuff gets donated to them, but mom has quite a bit. Someone suggested ask the Wounded Warriors group to see if anyone might see if those folks can use any. Don't have a contact for them. If my S-I-L was out of the way, my brother and I could resolve things pretty fast.

Morning all:wave: The missus and I had to clean out my MIL's house and donated many items to Goodwill, Habitat for Humanity, Impact (proceeds from store go to battered women shelters) and the local dumpster company. Just about any charitable organization will take items for resale. I's a matter of letting them go. My missus had a problem with letting some things from her past go sooooo now the stuff is in our basement for my kids to dispose of:oops:.

I'm thinking that will be the quickest. My brother lives a two day drive from my moms, I'm two hours away. Hoping this next trip we can sell some furniture and donate the rest to FISH, or Goodwill. Storing some things in a storage unit for a short period. Dads wrenches, power tools, band saw we'll keep, garden tools. Roto Tiller with good engine but worn tiller parts. At some point you have to say enough. Donating would give us time to fix the few things around the place, leaving the moving of stuff up to the charities.

Not real hot here (low 80's) but the humidity is awful. Spent most of the day outside, could hardly wait to go in and take a cold shower. did manage to get a lot done outdoors though.

evening Ken.... Tom has been on vacation, lucky guy!!!

I went grocery shopping and it was hot and humid out.... needed to cut the grass, but couldn't face the humidity... grass still needs to be cut (partially didn't go out since it thundered for awhile) but I got a good nap in :D

I'm here - just been lurking around. Work, crewing the hot air balloon, cutting grass and swimming in our pool has been keeping me busy. Finally got the part needed to fix the spa - 3+ weeks without it and my muscles ache! Had a rough spell with our Black Lab - Duffy. Turned out she ate part of a towel - took about 2 weeks for it to finally pass along with a $1300 vet bill for tests. On top of that, the automatic coffeepot died, as did the washer. I hope the financial bleeding has stopped!!!!

Oh, and I dropped almost 30 pounds - feeling so much better without it!!

Not OLD AGE Carl, it's the wife being retired and being home all day and keeping me busy:laughing:. Been driving a lot for the Nissan dealer(gets me out of the honey do's for a bit) and just got back from picking a car up in Yorkville NY for the Buick/GMC dealer next to the Nissan shop. 13 hour round trip. Went past Marks neck of the woods on the turnpike driving up and back.

Replaced the dishwasher last Monday and tomorrow it's the garbage disposal. Now the missus is talking about new den furniture which of course means repainting the room...hate painting:annoyed:. I was seriously giving thought to going back to work full time but my friend talked me out of it. Said I need a hobby. Any ideas?

Cool sorta here today, hit the upper 70's, had to open windows to get my place to warm up to 72.
Found a mater in the garden turning red, should be able to pick it in a few more days. :)
Building a covered landing outside the front door of my mobilehome, poured the piers yesterday, got some of the framework done today, called the guy who remodeled my place last year to come over and help a little. Ran out of material, I had only planned on working on it myself which would have kept me busy all day.

    Morning all:
Better not get too lean and mean Mark, Uncle Sam may request your services again!
Know the feeling about expenses coming in bunches, I think we all do!
Looks like it's time to hit the petty cash fund, but may I remind you that $1,300 you spent on the pooch would have bought a nice weapon! :D
Hope the dog is OK, sounds like it, might be time to lock up all the towels!
I have a stupid cat that chews up wires!

Here ya go Ken, get a boat, some weapons and start reloading, start fishing and hunting, pick up a classic car, buy a bigger property, just to name a few--------------you won't have time to work!
When you went down the tpk., and right when you are ready to enter the Lehigh tunnel, you were only a couple miles from my house also.

Fresh maters sounds good Duane, trouble is they seem to all come in at one time.

Mark I am glad Duffy is doing ok, our black lab loves to eat socks and mean swallows them whole. Thankfully they pass through and I just run them over with the mower and mulch them. Have not gone through $1300 in socks yet. Then there was the time he tried to eat a carpet knife blade and it lodged in his mouth.

    Evening all:
Just got done with my least favorite thing that I need to do once a year, trimming hedges. :(
Only took about an hour and a half, but I'm a sweaty mess as usual! Seems like that once a year comes fast anymore.

Got laid off today - not unexpected. Mining business is in the toilet and I've been in it for (gasp) 42+ years. So I dragged my stuff home and will think about what to do tomorrow. Maybe work on the Taco! My wife says sign on for Social Security but I hate to do it........ Seems too much like retirement!
