    I need a recommendation for a mechanics creeper. I'm tired of sliding around underneath my truck. It' time I LOOK like a real mechanic... instead of pretending to be one :)

    Needs to be good quality and decent wheels that can get around some rough asphalt on my driveway.

    And not too spendy of course.

    They are not smashed just the wrong size. Need to be lengthened to fit the truck, they are from a 3rd gen 4Runner

    My driveway isn't the smoothest, and my creeper isn't the greatest, so my creeper wheels get stuck sometimes, but it's just a cheap one someone gave me. I reccomend getting one that folds to be a creeper seat too. It's perfect for both laying on or sitting on

    I have this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007JYYPO2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 works well on my rough, chewed up, cement garage floor.

    @Subway4X4

    Here's how my trans skid is being reinforced. Those are 3/8 thick 1.5" wide steel standing on their side. There will be another crossing over in the back connecting the two side bars.

    Seems like the verdict is in. The ad says something about a napa warranty? Cynical, if you work something out with the seller your comfortable with, I could pick them up and get them to denville if that helps you.

    There's 3-5 inches between the trans pan and the skid. Plenty of room for the 1.5" pieces :thumbsup:

    These will be fully welded and are much more solid than the lip that gives the skid rigidity from RCI. If this isn't strong enough, I'm on the WRONG trail... :D

    Idk I think angle iron would add more strength and be less....weird...

    Who cares about weird? It's under the truck between the skid and trans lol!

    It'll do the job. And it's free :thumbsup:

    The problem is where that lip on the sides ends. It's just not long enough from RCI. Of course, that's where the damn thing bent. This just adds that support, but stronger.

    I climbed under the truck to run wiring for my backward lighting and the amount of mud on the top of the skid from backing up out of winch hill is astounding haha... Ill have to find a dirt lot to park in to scrape it all off...
