I was just curious what the diesel is pulling .. do you know the tongue weight .. or goose neck weight would you call it?

Bandit is rated for 12,500lbs towing and 4500lbs cargo. I ran the numbers and will have 1800lbs on the neck dry. Adding the toolboxes, a tank full of water, spare parts, etc. will bring the neck weight up. For a gooseneck you're supposed to have 20-30% of the trailer weight on the neck, so up to 3600lbs. I'm guessing I'll be around 2,000 to 2,500 on the neck fully loaded.

I've pulled Smokey over a couple of passes in CO and not had an issue, so adding the 1200lb camper shouldn't hurt too much.

I am installing a larger transmission cooler though.

Not questioning your towing ability, just wondering what the diesel can handle .. for reasons

Sorry for another dumb question. With a regulator with no gauge, how do you know how much CO2 is left in the bottle? Do you just guess by weight? Would suck to have to air up and have nothing left.

The gauges on the regulators only tell you the outlet pressure. None of them tell you how much CO2 is left. You're basically at full pressure until the tank is empty.

I'll try and remember to take the GoPro with me tomorrow when I head down to finish the install.

It's too small inside to take pictures with my phone. :D

We went to an event last weekend. Almost everyone there had a setup like youre doing. Deisel tow pig, gooseneck trailer with truck camper or a hitch trailer with truck camper in bed and a bad ass rig on the trailer. It was mostly tube chassis crawlers. So much want

    So Nathan,

I know this is an old topic, but I found the following lights on Amazon: http://undeadoffroadproducts.tictail.com/product/rock-lights

Just wanted to see if you are still enjoying these? For a cheap option they seem to get good reviews... My biggest concern is if they hold up through water crossings. Have you had any issues with em? Would you suggest them?

I'm trying to determine if spending good $ on rock lights is even worth it.

    Any input would be huge!

I still have the same set of COP LED's installed, and they're still working just fine. I've submerged the lights plenty and haven't seen any issues. I did switch to a magnet with a threaded stud on it inlieu of the epoxied on magnets though.

Biggest issue for me was that all the dirt and mud got stuck where the light meets the black housing (I can take some pics tonight to show you). Everytime I wanted to utilize them, I would have to clean them off.

Also, from the pics you can tell they are brighter (both pics are before any use; so no dirt and mud build up). First pic shows 8 (I think) of these DIY lights installed and I have 12 of the undead lights now (positioned way better) but provide more lighting of the undercarriage.

I have had them for a while sitting in the garage, but have been lazy actually getting to install them. I know I for them when they initially came out (probably under $100 for 12 but I can look in my emails how much I spent).

So far, I am liking them and the light they throw.
