    That "market adjustment" calls for a "purchase location adjustment". Anyone that thinks that if they get them to forego the "adjustment", that they are getting thousands of dollars off, needs to go back to school.
    I worked at a Chevy Buick dealer in Gilroy, Ca. in the 70's, (long ago and far away, BIG mistake, another story...). We sold the Corvette for MSRP, the farther you went up the coast towards SFRAN, the higher the price was. By the time you shopped in SFRAN itself, you paid thousands more for the same car. There was a market for SF license plate frames, so people could pretend they paid thousands more just to buy in SF. Pathetic posers.

    Nitrogen filled tires...:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

    75% of what we are breathing is nitrogen. So they shed off a little oxygen and trace gases and put 99% pure nitrogen in the tires. In the real world it doesn't make a shit's worth of difference.

    Because nitrogen molecules are bigger (can't fit through the rubber), there won't be the flux in tire pressure. It is also *supposedly* less corrosive to the inside of the tire. It's doubtful anyone would truly notice a difference.
    Nitrogen filled tires actually make a difference. In the Tacoma? No. But in moto gp and similar racing sports, yes. Pure nitrogen is superior for a tire, there's no argument about it, but $40 is laughable. I think discount tire will do it for $10 (which I wouldn't do anyways)

    Yeah I understand the whole bigger molecule thing. I work for a compressor company that actually manufactures nitrogen concentrators that shed off oxygen so the almost pure nitrogen can then be compressed for use in various applications. The military uses nitrogen in their aircraft tires. The plastic injection mold industry uses it because introducing oxygen into a mold filled with hot molten plastic can easily cause fires.

    Yeah.. my stealership did that to me. Agreed on a price, put down $500 deposit on a Saturday late afternoon 15 minutes before dealer closed. "Be back Monday am to close the deal" - agreed upon price went up $1500 just like that over the weekend. sales manager says "getting a lot of interest in this truck, do you want it or not" I went ballistic in the showroom with 20 customers waiting for service. Managed to get it down to $1200, wrote a check and went my merry way. When I go in for service they treat me pretty well now that they know I'm going make a scene if they don't perform as expected.

    I would have just said"the only thing I want from you is my deposit back". There are other dealers out there and its just a vehicle. Its not like you have to have that particular truck right? If they do some sleezebag move like that, just imagine what they will try if you get service done there once the Toyota care is over.

    I have seen $5000 " market adjustment " down in Naples, but Collier county is a rich country, with both Naples and Marco island.

    Yeah, the old nitrogen trick. Atmospheric air is about 78% nitrogen 21% oxygen and then approximately 1% other gases. So for $40 you get 100% nitrogen. Yep, big time scam.

    Adjustment sounds nicer than we have determined that there are enough people in this area who are too lazy or rich to drive a X miles to save $Y000 so èither bend over or move out of the way for the sucker that will. If it was $200 I might be one of them. $2000 and I walk on princplease. $5000 there is not enough Vaseline in the world.
