I would only use it off-road, and if the factory were to offer as an option, they could tie it, or limit its use to a low max speed.

It'd definitely be cool if they did offer some kind of lighting like that! I'd be in line to get it for sure.

It's just a simple on/off push button switch. It has an adhesive backing to it. So you can run the wire and mount almost wherever you want it.

Oh I see! So, what exactly or how did you cut wires to fit an oem type switch?

So in the picture I posted of the CaliRaised switch, there is the white connector ... on the wiring harness there is the other side that the switch connects into. Cut that off and it exposes 3 wires. I then crimped the correct spade connecter to the wires and they then plugged into the back of the "factory style" switch. Once your putting it all together it's pretty straight forward and real simple. Definitely recommend going with CaliRaised and getting the wiring harness. And then getting a factory style switch to keep it all neat and clean looking in the cab.

Who is a good vendor for these kinds of things? Just had a second not so great experience with a vendor here so I will not be buying from them anymore.

For pods, main vendor I know is caliraisedled. I run the no name brands from Amazon and love em. For $20, you can't beat it.

I bought a harness from cali raised as well. I want to cut off the ugly switch and connect it to an oem switch I got from cali raised as well. the harness has a black, blue, and white wire. the new switch has a green, red 1 (closest to green), red 2 (closest to black), and black wire. what wires go where? I know one of the new switch wires taps a dash light wire so the switch is illuminated like the others.

    I just went ballin:
SDHQ makes a super nice a pillar/ditch light bracket. It's was more solid in design and anti vibration.

I plan to mount a set of those new "side shooter Rigid light on them. You get the nest of both worlds, light cast to the side for ditches, and extra off-road driving lights.

    Not cheap tho... quality costs

I never hooked the illumination wire up. But mine still illuminates once pushed and turned on. I can't recall which wire it is off the top of my head. I also used a Chris 4x4 switch. Once I get moving around today I'll go check on my wiring!

Looks good! I love mine, I also think they look pretty good on the truck. I'm thinking about putting some yellow Laminx on mine tho. That way they work a little better in the snow and don't bounce so much light around.
I went with a Chris 4x4 switch and love it! Has a close style to the factory switches.
