I'm 6'6'' and have a 2105 double cab. When I'm driving, the rear seat behind me doesn't have that much leg room. I'd bring 3 friends with you and try both the Tacoma and Ridgeline for passenger comfort/space /legroom.

    Mostly because I like trucks.

My logical justification for an emotional want is I anticipate there will be times when I only haul one motorcycle and will use the bed of the truck rather than pulling the trailer. Other times I will be able to haul larger items (think Home Depot).

But, mostly, just because I want a truck.

The comparison of the two is invalid, one is a truck the other is not, blows my mind when Honda compares the two. Hey found a different way to say the same exact thing as at least three others have said.

You need your eyes checked..I'm kidding, welcome to the forum...but seriously the Ridgeline isn't ugly, it's fugly.

If you want a truck get a Tacoma. If you want an Accord/Odyssey hybrid get the Ridgeline. Did I mention how fugly the Ridgeline is?

Good point. I ride lots of off-pavement on my motorcycles and the screen name is the same one I use on motorcycle forums. Didn't really think about changing it for this forum. But, no, I don't expect to be going off-pavement in which ever truck I buy.

To the OP, drive them both and see which you prefer. The Ridgeline is plenty capable to do the things you describe in your initial post, it just comes down to which feels better to you.

I asked because I was hoping you guys would point out the relative strengths of the Tacoma over the Ridgeline in relation to my anticipated use. I'm just trying to consider all the pluses and minuses of each before making a decision. I figured the members here would know the pluses of the Tacoma over the Ridgeline in relation to how I will be using the truck and would point out those pluses.

    This.

Drive them both and see which fits you the best. Coming to a Tacoma forum and asking is not going to help you. You need to make the decision based on what you like and not what a bunch of bias Tacoma owners tell you.

We can tell you the pros/cons of the Tacoma. Hardly any of us could tell you about a Ridgeline considering it's only been out for approx a month.

Tacoma Better resale value Anyway for what you describe either would do. I would suggest that you test drive them both

OP, honestly you need to go compare features yourself, take BOTH for a nice LONG test drive, or as long as the dealer will let you. Then and only then can you make an informed decision for yourself. Everyone here is going to hoot and holler and say the Ridgeline is uglier than a bag of dicks, not a real truck, a soccer mom city SUV with the ass cut off, etc.

For your purposes I don't think you can go wrong either way, it seems like either would suit your needs just fine. Plenty of mall crawlers on here, like myself, will tout the offroad-ability of the Tacoma and that being a major selling point for it, but honestly 90% of the people who own a Tacoma (and I'm making up statistics) won't see terrain that a Honda Civic couldn't conquer. If you need to hit a few ROUGH trails every now and then, or see yourself in the future getting real involved with offroad, then the Tacoma is going to be your answer. Otherwise go take a test drive and pick your favorite.

I agree. The challenge is I like both trucks. I'm just trying to ensure I'm not overlooking superior features on one or the other.
