I wasn't totally sure, I haven't seen one out of these trucks yet except from underneath that's why I put the question mark there.

Lmk how it goes. Looks like a special torx style socket on the bolt holding the add tube to the diff? Maybe me getting a spare front diff ahead of time is a good idea.

Pulling the stock diff wasn't too bad, but I have to pull the ADD tube off to ship it back to ECGS.

You're right that Toyota went with external torx bolts to fasten the ADD assembly to the diff, and I fucked one of them up when my socket rolled off of the bolt head. I still managed to get it out, but I don't know if I trust it to take torque when I put the ADD on my new diff. Time to head to the stealership, I guess. Anyway, I have the four bolts out that hold it on the diff, but I'm stumped as to how to pop the ADD off the old one. I don't want to fuck up the gasket surface.

Time to call in the big brains! @Blackdawg @TimF

Just pull those external torx bolts and it pulls right apart. Probably some old gasket material gluing it together.

Don't forgot to pop the stub shaft out and swap it over.

I got a good deal on a oem (pre TSB) S13WE (199mm) caliper and rotor. Well worth the investment!

Just gasket holding it. And definitely don't forget the stub shaft.

You guys are the coolest. Being my first time, I just wanted to make sure that I didn't jack something up. I'll hulk out on it tomorrow, and get the stub shaft as well.

Thanks again, Monte and Brett. I owe you guys some beers if we ever meet up!

I thought it was an old ring that seals that tube. I had to junk yard one when a napa cv had the wrong snap ring on it and got stuck. Took lots of 8lb sledge hits to pop after I took the tube off and had it in a vice, ruined everything.

if the ac drain is clogged how do you unclog it? I am having an issue where I get small amounts of water right now on the passenger side and it smells pretty bad.
