I was wanting to see some pics of some first gen's with lights behind the grille. I can't seem to find any.

If you mean on a 2001 - 2004 Taco, you won't find any that involve the stock grille.

There've been a few installs of lights behind mesh replacement grilles in '01 - '04 Tacos, though ...

Realize its not stock grille but they fit with plenty of space behind the billet grille:D

Did the grille you got come with those little triangle pieces next to the headlights?
I just bought a Carriage Works upper and lower billet insert off Craigslist for 30 bucks. Mine didn't come with the little side pieces beside the grille and I think it might look funny without them.

They're Hella ....something. but size 6" I really like them offraoding and on road when bastards cut me off:D
I found mine on ksl (Utahs craigslist ) for $20 and it came as a complete set in the grille wrap around part already but it looks like it was an "insert yourself kit" in the grille so yes mine came with the two triangle pieces.
THAT was the hard part in the part that if you did a satoshi grille... the deep dish part, the lights fit nice and snug in there. I needed to bolt them down so stuck them in up side down drilled a hole threw the plastic mounts that mount the actual grille to the trucks body. so the lights are in up side down. then at the top did a ton of JB weld to the bottom of the "deep dish" part but need to re adjust passenger side will take pic's then
