Just bit the bullet and ordered a Leer 100XR. I'll post pics when it's here and on. $2500 and change after tax. Options: fold down slider, carpeted, Thule roof tracks, 8 accessory hooks on the roof and Windoors on both sides.

The RV place I got my A.R.E. from was charging close to $700 for a yakima roof rack. I ordered the exact same roof rack online for $300 and installed it myself.

Yeah, I just ordered the tracks, I wanted to make sure it was covered under warranty if it leaks. I figured I would try CL for some cross bars.

I was gonna buy the Snugtop, but liked the look of the Leer Windoors better. Heard too many mixed views on the ARE's.

I went with A.R.E because I spent too much on the truck  It's not a bad shell for the price considering how expensive they get.

Carto I was just at Six Roblee's looking at that exact Leer for my MGM DCLB TRD OR. What part of Anchorage are you in? I'd love to see that Leer in person before I put the money down to get one ordered.

i am a newb and was searching around with no luck, would that topper be able to hold a rooftop tent? i was looking at their site and they had a "stronger" model with metal support bars and it was advertised with a rooftop tent which led me to think the z series or other series wouldn't safely be able to hold one (at least with a two adults in it too).

Finally got the shell and a pic to prove it.

Leer XR 100, sliders with petguards, overhead liner, sliding drop down front, remote lock and Thule tracks from factory.

I installed the Thule rack consisting of:

    • THULE 460R Podium Foot Pack
    • Thule Podium Roof Rack Fit Kit THUKIT3101
    • Thule ARB47B 47 Inch AeroBlade Black
Note, if you plan on using the Aeroblade setup, 47" is the largest bar that will fit due to track width of 36" coming from factory.

What's the base price for the Leer xr if you don't mind me asking.

I'm in Utah and had quotes from Las Vegas to Idaho with base quotes ranging from $1690-$1790. Everyone had slightly different prices for the add-ons too. I was out the door around $2400 with the extras mentioned above, minus the thule rack.

Awsome, thanks. Truck looks great btw. I'm looking for a basic Leer shell maybe a little cheaper than that hopefully.

The price is definitely tough to swallow and the used shell market doesn't really exist for the new model yet. Good luck!
