But if I want locker I use 4hi and manual mode to 1-3rd gear and get TRAC until I can mod wiring to TRAC on 4low

I like the locker mod because it kills all the nanny systems, although there has been times when the A-TRAC system comes in handy. When I'm just out playing around the nanny systems have to be off...if i want to rip some donuts my truck better let me rip donuts, haha.

That used to bother me when they first came out, as does everything new that comes out, but once they work the bugs out it works out ok to great.
I was concerned with water & mud, but it's actually more reliable than the old manual levers. When I think back, I used to repair lots of stuck 4x4 levers that got stuck and it sometimes was labor intensive where as now you just replace the actuator assembly if it should get stuck.

    Been there, done that too.

I think that my 2nd Gen is a proper blend of both old and new for me. (I still hate the ABS and traction control.)

I'm not diztin' the 3rd Gen tech, since it's what newer drivers will call old tech in the future.

    That video = :jerkoff:

Remember when the 2016 first came out all anyone cold talk about was the grill and CCA. Notice no one hardly mentions it anymore? Can you say gimmick?

Before my 16 I have only had SRs. They ate hills like that for breakfast. I will.say the locker in the 16 is tits but no need for CC.

I really don't care that much for a locker anymore, they're too hard on the diff/axles IMHO.
Given a choice, I prefer just ATRAC-TRAC-LSD, which are better on diff longevity. But that's just me.
But I can see a future without them being offered oem, and once ppl start using them and they get better as they're bound to do. But again, just me that rather do without.

All I could think was get to it already. Took the guy all day just to get all the right knobs twirled and buttons pushed to drive up a little mount of dirt.
