    Ordered my ARE today and since one of partner companies is a distributor I got it not far over cost and it will get delivered to me at work. Still being cheep, I want to do my own wiring for the 3rd brake light, has anyone else done their own?

    Can the dealers where we got the caps from order windoors and switch my normal side windows out. Im an idiot for not getting windoor after camping all summer.
    Also website doesnt state prices. How much were the windoors extra for you?

    I don't know, I'll ask the price on the swap out if it's possible. What series do you have so I ask about the right kind. I did not order windoors, I didn't even get the sliding front glass. I just got the V series, paint to match, with rack rails, no rack. Comes factory with the sliding side windows and I am fine with that... for now.

    I really like the idea of having windoors, but hate the look of them. i like the frameless look a lot and almost think id rather just have the better look since 95% of the time my bed wouldn't be fully loaded and need access to the back.

    Hey CartoTaco, that looks awesome, and is exactly what I want to order for mine. One question is about color match, yours looks perfect, but I have seen other Leer + MGM color matches that maybe aren't as tight when looking around the forums. There is even a thread specifically complaining about Leer color match fails. Anyways I am wondering if you sent away your gas lid or just gave them the year/make/model/color?

    I think from having the XL you are going to be SOL. The frame less window area probably will not be compatible. I have a 100XR and got normal windows but am thinking 1 windoor may be useful. Dealer said that they can do it after the fact for $250 per windoor. Hope this helps!

    It's certainly possible. Usually pretty easy. I did my own on my '05 when I bought a used shell. Won't be exactly the same on a 3rd gen but basic concept was: drill hole for harness to pass through. Remove tail light. Tap brake wires (I used posi-taps).

    I watched the guy install mine and he used a PDF with instructions and diagram to make it easy. Maybe you can find it online or get it from the manufacture.

    What is the model number? The Bestop website says they don't have one for the 2016 Tacoma.
